Services
Our aim is to provide high level routine health-care for your horse with friendly and welcoming vets. We would usually visit clients' own stables to carry out examinations and treatment - we have limited facilities to carry out other work at our Brampton surgery if required. We work closely with vets in other local practices, particularly Scott Mitchell in Hexham.

Our team of dedicated small animal vets, nurses, both qualified and training as well as our reception staff are all here to look after all the needs of your pets; from advice on the care of your new companion through to high quality professional treatment should they fall ill.We treat all types of small animals - from Dogs and cats to fish guinea pigs, hamsters, fish and reptiles.

Laura first joined the practice in 2000, firstly as an apprentice, going onto college and successfully passing her nursing exams. She thoroughly enjoys being a veterinary nurse, with every day different. Laura has a keen interest in wound management and orthopaedics. Laura along with several other nurses run clinics on a daily basis and enjoy meeting new puppies and kittens, as well as helping clients with weight management of their pets.
We have thirteen vets in an established trio of Vet centres - Brampton, Haltwhistle and Longtown. Our Brampton and Longtown surgeries are open between 8am and 6.30pm Mon-Fri and 8am - 12pm Saturday.
When you enter the practice you will see the reception desk to your left with the large waiting area directly to your front. Please let our friendly receptionists know that you have arrived if attending for an appointment or hospital admission. The waiting area is kept comfortable with air conditioning.

Here for the worst reasons, we had to have our family dog put down after 15 years of her company. But the staff here were phenomenal - from the first phone call to the second we left, they were supportive, sympathetic and offered us options that were thoughtful and kind. From the very first second we walked in with our girl, they put us at ease and accommodated us all in the room, offering advice and allowing us to say goodbye in the best way possible. But of an emotional visit, but Capontree made us feel special, thank you so much.

To be honest Capontree vets are the only vets I've used in about 16 years. I've never felt the need to look elsewhere. They are friendly and I feel they are honest, never pushing for additional expenditure.
I've visited the Haltwhistle practice and Brampton. They are clean, welcoming and comfortable.
