One of my earliest memories was watching my mother make wedding cakes and this started my passion for baking and wedding cake design. Whilst working as a nurse I continued to make wedding and celebration cakes for my friends and colleagues. Following the birth of my daughter I decided to turn my hobby into a business.

After gaining a City and Guilds qualification in Sugarcraft, I founded Sharon Lord Cakes in 2005 from my home in Westerham, Kent. I have been awarded a 5* Food Hygiene Rating by Sevenoaks District Council. I hold a level 2 Hygiene certificate and am fully insured. I am a member of the British Sugarcraft Guild and my work features in national wedding publications.

Ts and Cs Report

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking and must be received within 14 days of the quote being given. The balance of payment for a wedding cake is due 1 month before the delivery date. Any alterations to orders must be confirmed in writing and may be subject to an additional charge.

I ordered a 30th Birthday cake from Sharon Lord Cakes in February 2012. I found the “pre order” service to be of a very high standard – especially the level of communication offered via email to help me choose the right cake etc. This helped reassure me that I was dealing with a professional who fully intended to follow through on the promises she made.
