Priscilla's Tea Room is a vintage tearoom at the heart of Sanderstead Village. This quaint little venue is home to an array of lovely cakes and pastries, as well as a hot and cold food menu and a range of Tea's and Coffees. With shop local at the centre of their ethos, you can also purchase a variety of goodies, from local sauce, confiture, honey and juices to handmade greeting cards and artwork frames.
This small but mighty social enterprise is behind the park's community events such as the Sanderstead Easter Eggstravaganza and Sanderstead Community Day, a huge festival like event aimed at bringing the community together in celebration of all that is local.

Services
They are a local couple with 2 lovely Daughters and 35 pets and even with full time jobs in education they still find time to run this quaint little tea room and a reptile rescue. Caitlin started on our work experience programme in 2018 and quickly became a huge asset to the team. She now works across all of sites sprreading Priscilla's cheer and sunshine.
We get asked this a lot. In short it is a business whose social aims are at the core and are prioritised over profits. A social enterprise is an organisation that applies commercial strategies to maximise improvements in economic, social and environmental well-being-this may include maximising social impact alongside profits or instead of profits.
The disused toilet block and bus shelter at the front of Sanderstead recreation ground had been an unloved, unused building since 1997. Both with community and teaching backgrounds they set about enquiring what could be done to transform this derelict building into something more pleasing to the eye and that benefits the community.
When Restrictions Lift, Afternoon tea is available by reservation or, if it's a last-minute thought, on the day, subject to availability. You can expect table service, beautiful crockery and a range of sandwiches and nibbles such as crudits, sausage rolls and scotch eggs or cocktail sausages. When is it available?
Priscilla's tea room provides a safe space for people to meet and enjoy common interests. Bringing people together in a social space that may not have had the opportunity to do so otherwise. Regular clubs include a monthly book club and 2 fortnightly crafting and knitting clubs.
In addition, the tea room is a platform for other businesses and groups to provide activities for the local community such as children's crafts and pop ups in the park to sell their products or promote charity and community causes.Book Club Takes place on the second Tuesday of every month at 6.30pm where men and woman of a variety of ages, get together to discuss the same book over a lovely hot drink and a slice of cake.

Lovely, quaint friendly coffee shop / cafe
Really lovely feel to this place, love to see places like this surviving against the major competitors
The service is very friendly and has that home made, stepping back in time vibe.
Great choice of sandwiches and cakes as long as you get there before they sell out.
Fresh bread and fruits available as well
My family love this place and will return many times

I love this tea room so much. It's small but it's mighty!
I've always loved going to Priscilla's for a coffee and a bite to eat when I've got a day off here and there.
Always nice to sit and chill for an hour or so!
The owners are very sweet and everyone I've ever been served by there have been very welcoming.
If you get a chance to go to the tea room, you won't be disappointed.
Keep an eye on Facebook regards to opening and other details (writing at the time of covid19 when things aren't open as normal but a different service)
Can't wait for normality and to come for my Pokémon morning

Very friendly staff and have some activities for kids like drawing and some trains.
They do a smallish but lovely selection of food at a reasonable price.
Quirky set up with old 'british memorabilia' as decor. They use old teapots, teacups and sugar pots etc. which is a nice touch.
Only negative is it is very small with limited seating, but is not usually that busy you cant sit down.
