We were founded in 1984 by current Managing Director Gary Entwistle, starting life with one product and a unique processing technology. Regional favourites such as our Chorley Cake and Parkin were to follow, and for many years we found success supplying our heritage range to the major multiples. And then in the early 2000s, it all changed.

120 colleagues and 5 Production Lines create over 50,000,000 sweet treats every year. Our batch process delivers the perfect balance between volume cost-efficiency and the artisanal touch, which raises the quality and complexity of products we can deliver.
On our production lines you'll see trained bakers hand-piping caramel onto brownies, and hand-topping muffins with fudge, alongside state of the art machinery that can deposit 10,000 muffins every hour.Once cooled and packed, our on-site warehouse and freezers allow us to supply ambient and frozen supply chains.

Our people are the lifeblood of our business and who we depend on every day to make our fantastic products. We strive to provide them with a safe working environment that supports productivity, dignity and self-esteem.
We funded the building of 2 self-sustainable schools in Ethiopia, to share our success in the coffee shop market with the coffee growing communities that make this a reality. The high school in Shifo and the 6th form in Kilenso Mekonisa, Ethiopia, will have a direct and lasting impact for generations to come.
