I worked with Ryan at Applause to get my most recent job. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new job. He was very knowledgable about the industry and took the time to listen to and understand my requirements before suggesting several roles that were ideally suited to me. Applied for a job I had lots of relevant experience for, heard nothing. Phoned up and they didn't know who handled the job, finally found out but couldn't get to talk to the consultant.
Emailed Alex to reiterate how keen I was on the job, pointed out my experience and asked if he had any questions for me, as well as attaching my CV again in case the application was buried. I haven't even heard back to say thank you for contacting them but the job isn't available anymore, or I'm not suitable, no communication whatsoever, a complete disgrace.
UPDATE: The job came along again (slightly revised)

The recruiter contacted me out of the blue with a job offer. I was unsure about it at first and already had a job offer but thought I'd give him a listen to. Ended up more what I wanted to do. He was quite attentive and helpful and a measured humble bloke that made the process easier than it could have been. Followed up with me often enough and gene me good advice. I'd recommend working with them and would give a big thumbs up to Alex Pitts for all his efforts.
