Having bought a brand new motorhome from this company the various faults meant I needed to carry a jerrycan of water to flush the toilet, torches to see my way at night and flat batteries all the time.
The company unwilling to resolve the problems.
Would never buy from them again and will now resort to litigation to reimburse my costs.
Beware of Andy the sales manager and Dominic the inept salesman.

Terrible company do not buy from this company their service department is shocking, one of the worst companies I have ever delt with, any good reviews written about their service department are probably written by them, I would advise everyone not to buy a motorhome from this company or take a motorhome there for addition work or repairs.

I’ve never had to deal with such poor communication and service as with this company. I bought a Romahome in April and the heating didn’t work, still try to get it fixed. When I wanted to buy my vehicle they were on the phone and as nice as pie but once they had my money i had to chase them every step of the way and it’s December and still not fixed. I would definitely NOT recommend this company

Found the motorhome of our dreams, Great Sales and After Sales service. We unfortunately discovered a problem after purchase which sometimes happens and couldn't have been anticipated. However, we were is safe hands and everything was put right to an exacting standard - the team could not have been more helpful and supportive and we were very reassured with this level of After Sales support. Buying a Motorhome is a huge investment and we have learnt at first hand that with Wilmoths its not just a sale but an ongoing relationship in which we feel safe - they have proved to be as careful of our investment

What a shambles
On Wednesday my partner contacted willmoths about an Autotrail motor home
We arranged to travel from Swansea today to view this with hope to purchase it
Spoke to the garage yesterday and were told the van is ready for us to view
We thought fab
Arrived at 10.15 this morning as arranged to be told it’s just been sold to a Local Customer that contacted willmoths last night
The sales manager basically said tough it’s first come as they contacted us last night
Ummmmmm we contacted you on Wednesday
He didn’t even offer to show us any other Motor homes
Absolutely disgusting

We've just taken delivery of our AutoTrail from Willmoths Southampton. Dominic, Scott, Maz, Alan and all the staff were friendly and extremely helpful throughout. We couldn't be happier with the people or service. Highly recommended.
I have since used Wilmoths for diagnostic and service work on our Auto-Trail on a number of occasions. Alway friendly, helpful and excellent.

I wish I’d read these reviews before our purchase in 2020. So many issues with our van, takes months to get a reply, after sales service is so bad you couldn’t make it up, the first rule of CS is reply to your customers!
Always blame Auto Trail for delays, no ownership of issues. Keen to sell but after that forget it!
Seems the CEO of Wilmoths… also adopts the no reply option!
Beware of buying, what looks great on the surface, will lead to frustration, anger and constant need to make trips back to Southampton. The list of issues grows, the waiting for responses gets longer with

After trawling the Web to find an Expedition 67 I came across Wilmoths of Southampton. After a long discussion and being informed that the 67 was due off line on the 30th April, I proceeded to pay a deposit. I then had an e mail stating the Expedition was not going into production until June/July then another e mail saying the anticipated delivery date would be around the first two weeks of July. The next e mail I received said it would be coming offline at the end of July. I am now waiting for another e mail telling me it's further delayed. I wouldn't mind but I could have purchased an Expedition

Caution! Please be very wary about buying a vehicle from Wilmoths, Southampton in good faith that it will be fit for purpose. Ours wasn't and reading other reviews it would appear we are not the only ones who have experienced nightmare after sales service. Our van has been back with them since 3rd June not once have they rung us off their own volition to give us an update. When we do speak to after sales manager fobbed off with excuses and no date as to when it will be fixed. Daylight robbery taking our money for a vehicle not fit for purpose and then not returning it to us!!!

Wilmoths motorhome southampton. They can’t wait to sale you a van but their after sales are terrible. Still waiting on many repairs to my van just over a year old. Keep getting fobbed off. They never call you back or keep you informed on what’s happening. I wouldn’t buy a van from here if you wish to be looked after afterwards. I’m in contact with the finance team so they can have their van back.

I must warn you all of my disastrous experience with Wilmoths. We bought a second hand Motorhome from them. It's been two month's of hell. It had less than 12k miles on the clock and was just three years old, so we insisted on it being MOT'd and coming with a Warranty. I didn't ask for it to be Serviced, as from my knowledge of Vans, it wouldn't need one. I was expecting 6 months, maybe a year's Warranty at most, but was surprised that 2 years Warranty was included. I thought nothing of it, but with hindsight, it should have rung bells. A Habitation Check was also guaranteed.

Keep the promises that their staff make regarding works on the motorhome. I had problems in May 2019 with water ingress with a further inspection in November 2019. A way forward was agreed that has now been rescinded with a demand for a further damp test AND habitation check at my cost with no guarantee that Pilote will approve it.
