Phoned them and asked for a quote for cambelt and water pump... Gave them my number.. Said they were very busy... And yes all garages for some reason are... Even the one I prefer to use (something that would write with on a blackboard)... They never called back.. We're polite on the phone and all but not a tinkle. I probably would have used them for this job and did state I was thinking of buying this certain car and their quote would help on that desicion... Did find out in the end from another garage but too costly.. But made me realise don't try other garages if your mechanic is busy.... Just

Had been going to them for nearly 2 years since moving. Friendly and accommodating; but found out they charged me nearly £900 for a part they only paid £500 for...not including the work involved. I understand there will be a markup, and it is usually the 20% tax they get back. Even 20% on top of that I could understand, but this was about 70%. Then I took my car in to get the radiator coolant container repaired (which they caused when doing the above repair), and not only did they charge me, but included a hefty fee for refilling the fluid - which was full when I brought it in! Won't go back
