Courses available for those organisations where there is a requirement for staff to have a working knowledge of dangerous goods transport without the need for a vocational qualification. This course is designed to help staff understand the dangers of the substances and prevent risks. Normally a one day course, delivery is available on your site or with us in Ripon or Leeds.
All applicants for a Standard Goods Vehicle Operators licence must confirm that they employ a professionally competent Transport Manager. The examinations to qualify as a professionally competent Transport Manager are held in March, June, September and December, and as an approved OCR examination centre you will not only be able to complete the training with us but also sit the examinations.
Whether you are returning to a Transport Manager role or are already active in Transport Management and want to continue your professional development, this course is for you. As you would expect, this course meets the requirements of the Office of the Traffic Commissioner and an OCR certificate of course completion is provided to all attendees.
EC Directive 96/35 requires companies involved in the transport, distribution and loading of dangerous goods consigned by road to appoint a Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA). The SQA examinations to qualify as DGSA are held March, June, September and November and you will be able to complete the training with us.
