Becoming a driving instructor is achievable for most people if they have the will, the desire and the motivation.
The best way to learn to drive is to take professional lessons with an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). Driving instructors must be registered with the Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). The teaching standard or a driving instructor is regularly assessed by the DVSA. Grades are issued after these assessments.
Before you drive, you must meet the minimum driving age, minimum eyesight rules & have the correct licence. We recommend that you order your provisional Driving Licence from the Post Office as there are many false websites out there charging you the earth. Forms D1 along with an information leaflet INF1D can be ordered online from www.direct.gov.uk/motoring.
A driving theory test must be passed before a learner driver can book a practical driving test. The theory test is in two parts; a multi-choice question test followed by a hazard perception test. It takes around one hour to complete the theory test. LDUK pupils are provided with free access to Theory Test Pro, the very best online site available to learner drivers.

I just want to say a MASSIVE thank you to Charlie Ferguson for teaching me to drive, resulting in me passing my test on my first attempt. Charlie is so friendly and funny and really helped me relax. Initially I wasn't bothered at all about learning to drive because I live on a main bus route and close to the train station, but my boyfriend had encouraged me to take some lessons. I was a bit gutted when I didn't initially take to it straight away; it really wasn't a natural talent and I kept beating myself up for small mistakes and comparing myself to others. I recently passed my test on my first attempt.
The whole experience with Learn Driving Uk was fantastic. I had lessons on a weekly basis which were all tailored to my needs and supported by a brilliant instructor. Great value for money and really nice cars to drive. If you’re looking for someone to learn to drive with I would definitely recommend this driving school.
