Located in the picturesque Buckinghamshire countryside of The Chilterns, The Crown Pub and Restaurant is perched on the edge of Ley Hill village, boasting beautiful views of the village green and woodland. In the summer months sit outside at one of our many benches and enjoy a thirst-quenching drink and fresh food cooked to order by our kitchen.
During the winter months come in from the cold and sit around our open wood fire at one of our bar-side tables, or enjoy a meal in our adjoining dining room with a local ale, good quality wine and wide range of alternative beverages. If you're just wanting a quick bite enjoy a small dish from our continually updated home-cooked menu, created by our head chef.*

Finished up here after a long walk with the kids. Outdoor table service due to Covid19 restrictions. So nice to visit this pub again. Great place that has hosted beer festivals and other events over the years.
Support local, these guys need all the business they can get over the coming weeks and months 👍

Very disappointing. Food here used to be delicious before the pub changed hands now decidedly average and service was really not good. Waited an hour for food despite being first table booked for lunch then two diners who were gluten free had there roast dinner arrive without gravy, having specifically checked this was doable when the booked. Dry roast dinner is rubbish but so was the attitude of the lady who served the meal and got shirty because we pointed out that maybe they should have told them when they ordered?

The Crown is not the pub it once was. We visited on a Friday night as a group and the majority of the time in the pub we were the only patrons. The vibe overall wasn’t great. We often noticed the two bar staff would rather just listen in to our conversation than busy themselves with some needed cleaning etc.. Tragic 80’s music was playing over the speakers which even the staff weren’t enjoying.
The cask beer was old, flat and had no life to it. It was a local beer which has been hard to find in recent trips often only having Doombar on. For some reason the pub has 5 lagers(Fosters, Amstel

We have been here many timed and most are 5 star. Not today. Camembert and pate starters were as usual great. Main courses of fish and chicken pie were average. Pie was so runny it was more a bowl of soup. But worst is the long delay in service. We got our main course over 1 hour post ordering by which time a couple who had ordered after us had received and finished theirs. Crown...I think you have a process problem in the kitchen. Do sort this out...there are too many review comments about slow service. There was also no acknowledgement from staff of the delay. Either they had no idea of the delay
