With over 500 frame styles in stock and prices starting at 45 - including single vision lenses - we will use all of our experience and your specific needs to find the perfect frame and lens for you. How the frame fits is just as important as how it looks. We take great care to help you choose the right size of frame and shape it to the contours of your face so it will be naturally comfortable to wear.
Our eye examinations are comprehensive and carried out in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. We use the test results to offer advice and guidance, allowing you to make an informed decision. In addition to carefully monitoring our patients eye health, eye examinations can also detect various other health conditions, so even if you feel your eyesight is fine it's well worth a check-up.
This area is a Section that is used as a target in which to launch a limelight. The Nested content tab displays several maps in another Limelight with links to trigger each one. Stacks content is just one of the many options for the Limelight content, this is the most traditional of lightbox content types.
I would highly recommend this place. I was made to feel very comfortable and at ease when getting my eyes tested and picking my glasses. The guys who run it are very professional but also very nice guys, who put you at ease immediately. Lovely guys, great service very friendly and efficient, and reasonably priced, wouldn't go anywhere else.

Popped in, to have a repair conducted on my glasses and walk away with 2 brand new pairs!
I have a high prescription, I’m used to being disappointed with my lens thickness however the team at High Street Opticians did an exceptional job and I’m delighted! What’s slightly more impressive is that frames and lenses were turned round in LESS than a week!
Exceptional service and exceptional value is rare but these guys deliver on both fronts!
I highly recommend High Street Opticians!!! Support this local business they are exceptional & they deserve it!

Just wanted to say what great service I received from the team here. I had two disasters with both pairs of my glasses in a short period of time-1 dropped & scratched lens and the other dropped & cracked frame. The team were able to replace the scratched lens whilst I waited, and the frame on the other pair replaced on warranty in a couple of days! Fantastic friendly & efficient service. Top Marks! :-)

I used High Street Opticians for the first time in March and purchased new varifocals. I found the service efficient, competitively priced and friendly. You were welcomed as a person and not just treated as another customer, as I have experienced at large national opticians.
In June I decided to get new reading glasses for computer work, so called in by chance on passing. I was able to choose frames from an extensive stock and later phoned in the distance I work from the computer screen, so they could use my prescription to dispense glasses of the correct focal length.
