We have darts four nights a week and quiz nights twice a month as well as the occasional seasonal events, fun is had by all so come down and join in. We try to accommodate most peoples needs so we have provided the following for you and your family members to enjoy. Come and enjoy our carvery on Tuesdays between 12:00 to 14:00 and Sundays at 12:00 to 18:00.

Join us every Tuesday & Thursday in our family friendly restaurant for a delicious Carvery Dinner on Tuesdays & 2 steak meals for 26 on Thursdays.

The Red Lion serves delicious family food. We have a mouth-watering day menu available, so whether you want ham, egg & chips from our main menu, a rump steak from our grill or a carvery with friends, our very capable chefs can cater for every appetite. Our team of experienced chefs have a wealth of recipes and experience, providing a high quality dining experience for you to enjoy.

Small menu and a bit pricey, but the food is excellent and the staff are extremely friendly. Perfect small town pub atmosphere.
We live in Hockwold and can walk up with the kids for a meal and a pint. If you have young children, they have a small play set in the back garden.

Our second visit, and we had a carvery. Booked at short notice as extra family arrived for birthday celebrations. They were very accommodating, squeezing us in early enough for the little ones, who had their own portion sizes and plates. Very happy with that, elsewhere they've had to eat from mum or dad's plate. Lovely atmosphere, happy,friendly,attentive staff, food was excellent too. Plates are on the smaller size, if you have a big appetite, but ample for most.
No waiting, even though they were busy, and we weren't pushed to leave before we were ready either. It was a pleasant and relaxed meal
