The Bunk Inn is a great place to relax with a drink, have a superb meal with family and friends or enjoy a peaceful stay in glorious surroundings. Situated in the small village of Curridge, just four miles from Newbury and two miles from the M4 and A34, we're conveniently located yet offer all the calm and beauty the countryside has to offer.
Late booking for an overnight business stay. Very welcoming, great service, high quality food served with a good beer. The room was very clean and comfortable with plenty of space. Liked the stay so much I subsequently returned for a business meeting and received equally good service with superb coffee.

We had the best New Year at the Bunk inn. I can not rate it highly enough. The rooms are clean and so comfortable. The food is delicious. The Manager Brian was an absolute star, he made us so welcome,… especially our little Jack Russel. He was so kind and attentive. We had a very special night and would like to thank him and his team. Thank you and we look forward to coming back xx happy new year 🥳

I was part of a very large party of about 20 and the Bunk provided a delicious meal, everyone’s food was hot and beautifully presented and the staff were friendly and efficient. The refurbishment has given a feeling of extra space whilst still retaining all those cosy corners. Feeling ver lucky having such a great local pub!

We only stopped one night to break up our journey. Room was spacious and comfortable. Dog friendly rooms and also in the bar. They did make a fuss of our boys. Peaceful after the pub shut. The ensuite definitely needs some tlc. Didn't look appealing at all! The food in the pub was very good although a bit pricey! £36 for a bottle of wine was rather extreme! The breakfast was OK, just continental but enough. I would stay here again but only for a couple of days. Would try and find elsewhere to eat!

We met a friends family here. They were travelling from Bristol. Us from Southampton so a perfect spot to meet half way. Originally was Chievely Services but realised you had to pay £16 if you stayed longer than 2 hrs. This pub is very close to service station & we were pleased to have found it. Very friendly staff. Excellent service. Express menu during week served home cooked food. The cheeseburger was a popular choice. Log fire would have been welcoming if it was colder. Pub backs on to fields with horses so an idyllic location with great views. Would definitely recommend this to anyone if

I, an American, was assigned to a 6-month gig working at (a large cellular phone company based in Newbury), and my company wanted to put me up in the usual sterile corporate hotel-thing nearby. The first week I was there, we had a party at The Bunk, which was great, and then I found out they had a room available. Spent the next 5-1/2 months living in a room over the bar at The Bunk, and it is one of the fondest memories I have. Got to know everyone that worked there, and they even threw me a surprise birthday party. Which meant a lot to me when I was 5000 miles from home.

Called in last Sunday and was excited by the prospect of having a roast. I plummeted for roast pork loin. However what came on the plate was belly pork, which although ok was not what I was expecting. The waiter shrugged it off as supply issues. I should have been told when I ordered. Also roast parsnips were very undercooked. Overall a disappointing experience.

1 vegetarian main on the menu and here were no specials available at all. The young and potentially new waiter wasnt very good at listening and sewd almost scared to speak to us. The aubergine burger was horrible, it was 2 slices of deep fried aubergine and a small deep fried mushroom in a stale bun. My fries seemed like the end of the bag as they… were all 2mm long so you couldn't dip them even if you had managed to get hold of someone to bring sauce. we shared a couple of baked camembert to start and they brought extra bread of different varieties which was nice and gave everyone a choice

Just Brilliant !
We decided to treat our dad to a Father’s Day meal yesterday evening and we are so pleased we decided to visit The Bunk!!
We went for the Sunday roast, the food was cooked to such a high standard and the service was brilliant.

Many months ago, my girlfriend at the time and I wanted to take her parents out for dinner when we first became a couple. She chose the Bunk Inn as somewhere with good food but not too stuffy.
The Bunk Inn is located between Newbury and Thatcham and is signposted off the main road.
We visitied on a weekday evening and the place wasn't busy. However, we were kept standing at the bar for quite a while before our table was ready though we had booked. Fortunately, we were able to make good conversation with our drinks.
