Services
At Pople and Broad Opticians we have developed a highly professional team dedicated to providing our patients with a seamless journey through our practice. You will be guaranteed a warm welcome when you first step into our practice.

Our optical advisors will make you feel comfortable and relaxed before your examination and our optometrists are trained to thoroughly examine your eyes and provide you with honest, appropriate advice for your individual visual requirements. If you do require spectacles you will then meet one of our dispensing opticians who will talk you through all the available options.
Keeping your eyes healthy is about more than getting a regular eye examination (although that helps!). This information is for interest only, it does not replace a full eye examination from a professional optician. Age-related macular degeneration is the most common cause of adult blindness in the developed world.
We offer both private and NHS eye examinations. Every eye examination starts with a discussion about your eye health in general and if you have any specific concerns. If you are a new patient, we will take a detailed history of your general health and eye health to date so that we get a clear picture of your needs.
Pople and Broad, optometric practice in Heathfield have invested in a revolutionary piece of diagnostic equipment that can detect a number of key eye conditions, such as glaucoma, age related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic retinopathy during a routine eye test. This piece of equipment is called a 3D Ocular Coherence Tomography system (3D OCT) and is manufactured by a world leading optical equipment manufacturer, Topcon.
During a visual fields test you will be asked to look at a dot in the centre of the machine, to which you will need to respond when you see small white lights appearing elsewhere on the screen. If you have any questions or would like to add this on to your sight test appointment please do not hesitate to give us a call!

Fantastic service received today and probably one of the friendliest businesses I have ever been into.
The checkup was thorough, the staff friendly and I even had my kids looked after whilst I had my appointment.
I wholeheartedly can't recommend them enough.
And for anybody worried about Coronavirus, the premises was spotless, the staff all in PPE and hand hand sanitizer available as you walk through the door, so I think they've aced that one too.
