Services
Kenilworth Nursery School has been recognised as an 'outstanding school' in four consecutive Ofsted inspections and has been recognised nationally for its outstanding environment and work with children. We gained Early Years Teaching Centre status in 2011 due to the high quality teaching as part of a national research project for the DfE, which was fulfilled by full national Teaching School designation in 2016.
The early years are the basis for long term well-being and lifelong learning, so what adults intend for young children matters. At Kenilworth Nursery School we make explicit the principles underpinning the practice and provision which affirm early childhood as an important stage in its own right and children as active agents in their own learning.

The School's ethos values the uniqueness of every child and has been inspired by the Reggio Emelia approach. At Kenilworth Nursery School every service and environment is carefully planned to ensure children have amazing opportunities to discover and learn.
Highly qualified Headteacher, SENDCo, teachers and staff with level 3 qualifications delivering specialised learning. Wonderful creative curriculum tailored for each child to celebrate the uniqueness of each individual, inspired by the Reggio Emelia approach. A rich environment with generous indoor / outdoor space, a sensory studio, a Forest School and mud kitchen, and weekly Music and Movement classes.
The Main Nursery has three indoor rooms called the Creative Area, Graphic Area and Sensory Studio, as well as a very large Outdoor Learning Space with a sheltered area for all weather play. In addition, learning also takes place in our large Garden Studio classroom. The Graphic Area has books, block play, maths, science, computers, puzzles and writing areas.

We have had such a wonderful experience of KNS! Our little boy has been treated with kindness and expertise at every turn and it’s been wonderful to see him grow in their care.
The setting and resources are brilliant and it’s clear that so much thought and care has gone into the environment. The large outside area including forest school corner… has been enjoyed by our son all year round.
The staff are wonderful - experienced, warm and nurturing- they’ve provided just the start to our son’s education that he needed. It’s clear that they value each child and

Kenilworth Nursery School has been such an amazing start to education for my two children. Welcomed every day by friendly smiley faces. Nurture nursery was brilliant for us, the sessions were just enough to get them settled in ready to move on to main nursery, in such a wonderful nurturing environment.
Main nursery is a great setting. With so many… different resources. The outside space is a massive hit with my little girl. Not to mention forest school. We find the hours very flexible to our needs too. All the Kenilworth Nursery School team do a fantastic job.

Kenilworth nursery is so friendly, i felt 100%at ease when i walked in and my little boy was happy and excited to explore all they have. The space is amazing, the amount of resources are great and the staff are super friendly and are great at what they do, my little boys loves them and so do i. Im planning to send my youngest there once he is old enough.
