Stockwell Group Practice GP surgery in South London provides high quality healthcare to patients in the Stockwell area. We are situated on Stockwell Road opposite Stockwell Green. Services
Nadia is mental health lead and has a diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine. She teaches health care professionals about assessment and treatment of MSK conditions, works closely with the. Nina is the cancer lead at SGP. She also has an MSc in global public health policy and has done a lot of aid work overseas (including Iraq and Syria).
There is good access for the disabled to all of our consultation rooms. A designated parking bay is adjacent to the surgery entrance and the surgery has a ramp and. We are a training practice and you may be offered an appointment with a GP registrar. These doctors are fully qualified will have had experience in several hospital specialties.
Our clinics include: Counselling Addiction Advice Ante-natal Asthma/COPD/Breathing tests Cervical Screening Child Health Developmental Checks Childhood Immunisations Chiropody Contraception (IUCDs/implanons) LARC fitting (see details below) Long Acting Reversible Contraception Diabetes. The NHS does not pay for some of the services we provide.

Edit. Phone up on the day of your appointment to confirm it. Receptionists will book you in and when you turn up for your appointment you are not on the system. Once is a mistake but this has happened to me on 3 separate occasions!!
My wife had an appointment to see a GP, it was confirmed via text but she was turned away. Even though she showed the text, they said it was for a phone appointment. I went back, they insisted there wasn't an appointment until I insisted they read the text again! On another occasion the nurse asked the receptionist to book me 4 appointments, it was never done. Incompetent

Amazing patient care; I highly recommend Stockwell Group Practice for any and all primary care needs. Nurse Vijay is the best nurse I've ever had, and I say this as someone who has been a patient in several different health services across two different countries on opposing sides of the planet. I've met a lot of nurses; Vijay is my top pick, worldwide.
If I could rate ten stars, I would. However, Google only allows for a maximum of five stars, so that is the rating I have provided here.
Similarly, I have received top-notch care from not only Nurse Vijay, but Dr. McGuinness, Dr. Taheri, Dr. Rajani

The service I have received from the Stockwell group practice , over the years, has always been excellent. From speaking to the friendly staff at the reception who initially take your call to book your appointment or getting the doctor to call you back. And also when having appointments with the doctors, they always make you feel at ease, and explain everything, especially ii you have any concerns or health issues, and work out the best treatment plan for you , that may mean you being referred to other health departments if they don’t have to facilities there.

Speechless - poor service today. Waited for almost an hour for a walk in flu jab, which took less than a minute, all because the doctor in charge was catching up in another colleagues room.
Receptionists were lovely and helpful in chasing up the doctor after waiting for over 30mins.
I had only witnessed one doctor who was consistently seeing patients during my hour long wait.

Every time I call this GP i seem to get different information. This time I called to get a repeat prescription which I have always done before but except this time the receptionist (who first of all seemed to be in a tunnel so i could hardly hear her) decided to tell me that apparently they haven't done repeat prescriptions over the phone in more than a year. Bear in mind I got my last one way less than a year ago so she was likely just being lazy and not wanting to assist! God forbid if I actually become severely sick and need their help!

This gp has needed a revamp for years, doctors seem to just want to get you out of there not listening to patients is normal here. O yes the recption staff or whoever picks up the phones needs to be sacked.
To add to this, they might aswell close down this gp absolute rubbish called at 9am there are no doctors, no appointments and even over the phone calls ill have to wait till 4/5pm shambles of a gp.

I am in London for nearly 9 years and have changed GPs several times. This is the worst experience I have ever had! Staff is very rude and lack of communication.
Last week, I came to find out whether I could have the Health Check (I came because in 3 days of calling no one picked up the phone!!!!!!!!) as I am 42 years old and was told that they would call me the day next and let me know. Of course no one called and when I called no one picked up the phone. Never mind though, I have registered in another GP!

Worst gp surgery I've ever come across. Been registered here for over 8 years and after complaining about the same issue since joining only got a diagnosis after 7 years because 1 new doctor took the imitative to actually send me for an x-ray.
In a second instance, I was told there was only 1 issue showing on my test results. I've now left this surgery and my new gp have told me there were actually more issues showing on the results from the tests done at this surgery which are now being investigated. How many other patients have not received accurate results or the right treatment for that matter

I had an ear infection so I rang my GP yesterday morning. There was a small wait and the receptionist answered and was very friendly and efficient and arranged for the doctor to call me back. Dr May called me back that afternoon and after a quick chat she asked me to come in within two hours. At the GP I only had to wait a few minutes before she called my name. Dr May did a short check and was really kind and welcoming. She prescribed me some ear drops. Unfortunately at the pharmacy I was told there is a supply shortage and I couldn’t get the ear drops.
