Did you know that anyone can put a notice up in their window and proclaim to the world that they're an accountant? They don't need any qualifications whatsoever. Given the complexities of some financial regulations, that's a sobering thought isn't it? That most certainly isn't the case with Whitehead and Aldrich.
Whitehead and Aldrich have been accountants in Preston since 1906 when the firm was founded by Arthur Guy Paget Rigby. There is a slight suspicion that he became an accountant so he could competently count the number of names he had. Mr Rigby started his own practice at number 5 Chapel Street after leaving Chartered Accountants, Davies and Crane in 1906.
David joined Whitehead & Aldrich in 1982 after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1980. He specialises in advising owner-managed businesses from start-up or acquisition through to disposal or retirement and has a broad range of clients in many diverse sectors including farming and agriculture, insurance broking, and the motor trade.

I have used whitehead and aldrich for the last 5 years, they have been outstanding throughout. They managed our company accounts in a professional and efficient manner. We used Xero too and they are experts in modern accounting packages like Xero - it meant they had instant access to our software and they could really be hands on.
We exited the business through acquisition and whitehead handled everything we needed throughout the sale process. They truly are a team of experts in their field!

I have had the pleasure of working with Jonathan and the team for a while now and whilst it's a very traditional accountants, you also get the friendly, family feel to who they are and what they want to do for youths client. Jonathan is very charming and will ensure the service you receive is the best possible. An overall very professional experience and he's a nice bloke too.

Excellent, outstanding, professional and dedicated are just a few choice words I would use to describe this firm of accountants. ( I could go on but Jonathan still needs to fit through the door!)
We have been running a business for 25+ years now, so I knew what we needed - finding it was near impossible.
