Hi, I'm Kelly and I run Pretty Paws Dog Grooming Salon in Huntington, York. I have always had a great love for dogs and in 2006 when we got Oscar our adorable Miniature Schnauzer I studied to become a dog groomer. I believe that all dogs should be treated as individuals and I make every effort to ensure that every dog that enters the salon has the most pleasant experience possible.
I monitor the stress levels of every animal in my care and alter handling accordingly. I do not hold your canine friend all day in a crate like some other grooming salons. You simply come and drop them off and pick them up an hour of two later. A pampered pet is a happy pet so I always use top quality shampoo/conditioners and colognes.

Services
All dog's from pedigrees to cross breeds, benefit from regular grooming. Grooming helps to maintain the skin and coat in good condition. It also makes the dog feel better and look great. Short haired dogs that are groomed regularly should shed less, meaning fewer hairs around your home.
For long haired dogs there is the benefit of keeping the coat matt free, as well as their coat being cut and styled to the length that is manageable for the owner.We always check your dog's temperament and ask if they have any medical conditions before we groom them. We always discuss with the owner how they would like to have their dog styled.

Once again, utterly brilliant. We've been coming to pretty paws for knocking on six years now and have never had anything but great experiences. We have one dog that hates getting groomed and one dog that is inconsistent with other dogs so is a bit of a handful. Kelly and Emilia are great with them and they always come back looking superb. When my son was born recently they also bought him a little Teddy so they're jolly nice people too. What more could you ask for really

I’ve been taking Woody to Pretty Paws for a couple hours of years now. They’re always lovely with him and it’s a pleasure to drop him off and pick him up. They always listen to what I want and he comes out looking handsome. I always get compliments about Woody but it’s down to Amelia’s lovely grooming
