The Isle of Harris is probably the most scenic of all the Western Isles and perfectly situated to take in all the island has to offer, is Avalon. Avalon was 4 star graded with Visit Scotland but due to rising costs, recently withdrew from the scheme. However, we continue to provide a four star service, having provided Bed and Breakfast, for over twenty years.

Less than an hour's drive from the Calanish Stones, to the North and half an hour to St Clement's Church at Rodel, in between are the majestic hills of North Harris and the golden sandy beaches of Luskentyre, Seilebost and Horgabost. The house is situated on the family croft, with a southerly aspect over West Loch Tarbert.

The quality of everything in Avalon bed and breakfast was exceptional and all the added touches of comfort in our room were greatly appreciated. We had a very early start to catch the ferry and the "grab bag" of food we were each given was most generously filled. I would highly recommend Avalon B&B.

Was able to make a last minute booking here and couldn't have come across a nicer b&b. The views in both the bedrooms and the breakfast room were incredible. The room was clean large and well appointed with a slice of cake on arrival which couldn't have been more welcomed after a day of cycling. The host was lovely and made us feel at home. Would thoroughly recommend.

Very friendly welcome. Spotlessly clean room and very convenient for the ferry terminal. We had to catch the early ferry so missed breakfast but our host packed the most amazing breakfast picnic which lasted us all day whilst cycling across Skye. Thank you.

Wonderful host, such a comfy room, a divine cooked breakfast (especially the black pudding) and the view from the breakfast room of the sea loch was stunning. We’ll definitely stay here next time we visit!

Lovely b&b run by the very friendly and efficient Arlene. We stayed one night and loved it. Great views onto the waters from the room, if you're lucky you might even spot an otter! Amazing breakfast. Recommended.

We loved our time at The Avalon. Arlene, the owner, is very welcoming. Our room was spotless, very reasonably priced and breakfast was amazing! Arlene was so kind in giving us a lift along to the local pub when it was raining. All the luxuries of a 5 star hotel but with a really homely feel. Highly recommended.
