Muirburn Holiday Boarding for Dogs and Cats is located in Horndean, Hampshire, on the edge of the South Downs national park. We are a fully licenced dog boarding kennels and cattery with a 5 star rating by East Hampshire District Council which issues licences in accordance with the Animal Boarding Establishments Act 1963.

Muirburn is a dog boarding kennels and cattery located in Horndean, Hampshire, on the edge of the South Downs. We are fully licenced by East Hampshire District Council in accordance with the Animal Boarding Establishments Act 1963, and constantly supervised by our long-standing, caring staff who ensure your pet's comfort and well-being is a priority.
Constructed to the highest standards, cavity walls and individual heating for each kennel ensures maximum comfort during your best friend's stay with us. Each kennel has a sliding hatch to its own covered run so they can come and go as they wish. The cattery includes 2 double-sized cabins for families of cats, and all cabins are kept cosy by being individually heated with thermostatically controlled temperature.
Exercise is an important part of all boarders' daily routine. Cats have access via cat flaps to individual outside runs where they can survey the world. Whilst they can see their neighbours, they are separated by 'sneeze barriers' to help protect them from airbourne viruses. A full grooming service for both dogs and cats is provided on site at The Grooming Parlour for both boarders and non-boarders.

It was our first time using this kennel (and indeed first time our dog has been in a kennel) and we are left quite disappointed. I've always been worried about kennels, but friends and family reassured me, and Muirburn has good reviews. We picked up a very stressed dog who had developed a red eye and pus. The owner said it was likely due to stress. They also didn't feed our dog the right amount, so he has been considerably over fed. They admitted this was their mistake as they didn't note down the amounts he needs to be fed when we told them. They apologised but didn't offer any compensation. We

If I could give zero star I would! Our dog came home smelling like pee, her fur and harness was sticky and she came home coughing, throwing up and having diarrhoea. Our poor puppy spoiled her bed the first night home, which she has never done before. And she would not eat for days. The kennel promised us pictures and videos and we received none! We had to call them from abroad to get an update on our dog. They returned our dog in horrible conditions and then told us that the pictures didn’t send for technical reasons. They told us they didn’t notice our dog being poorly, when in fact she came

Muirburn kennels are the only place where our dog really settles when we are away, he seems to love being there!
They have friendly staff and all seem to love playing with the dogs and making their visit as enjoyable as possible.
Also the additional grooming service is great too, they do a fantastic job of his hair!
