We have spent a season here and found it to be a lovely site, facilities kept to a high standard as also are the grounds.
Quiet and relaxing even on peak times.
Owner hard working pleasant and always around.
Some beautiful beaches within 20 minutes drive, but the final couple miles to most of them are very narrow..
The countryside around the site is scenic, but you really need a car to go anywhere, no close bus service. Kingsbridge is walkable but about 2.5 mile up and down a narrow hilly road. Pretty place.
Salcombe brewery tour across the road worth a visit.

Whilst the site was very tidy and the toilets clean, although 2 is not enough even at this time of year, and for the price charged despite COVID not providing toilet paper is very meen and charging £3.00 for a plastic rubbish sack is daylight robbery. I must also point out that the Posts & Chains across the entrance were a little un necessary and very difficult to manoeuvre round, although there is a barrier that requires a code to be inputted to enter, why have to enter the code to exit? I believe that the site should inform customers of all of this and also that the pitches are all sloping which

We had a seasonal pitch at Island Lodge and thoroughly recommend the site. The site is quiet with superb facilities; the showers are spotlessly clean with an endless supply of hot water. It is an excellent location with plenty to do for the whole family. We enjoyed Slapton Sands, Dartington and Kingsbridge.

We have found a little gem! What a super camping and caravan site. Very small and quiet. Caters for touring caravans, tents, camper vans and motor homes. Immaculately clean shower block, toilets and kitchen facilities. Very well maintained grounds and pitches. Dog and child friendly. Nice play area in the centre. We received a warm and informative welcome from the owner....Will definitely be visiting again!

We stayed at this lovely site recently, unfortunately due to bad weather, as we are 'fair weather' campers, we decided to leave after one night due to the recent storms, but that is no reflection on this site and we hope to return. The toilet facilities were immaculate, the grounds well kept and the owner, Mrs Parker was really helpful and very welcoming, as stated we hope to return very soon as for us its the perfect site.
