Services
Heritage Tree Services provide professional arboricultural services to include site visits, preliminary assessments and health & safety surveys by qualified arborists/consultants. The complete programme may include specialised tree surgery, amenity tree management and tree relocation options. We also present friendly, informed advice, local authority planning liaison and project development guidance.
Compilation of Arboricultural Method Statements and liaise with local authorities in regard to BS5837 (British Standard) (2012) 'Trees in Relation to Design, Demolition & Construction'. The Arboricultural Method Statement is required to provide methodology for tree protection during any developmental projects.
Woodchip mulch is a mixture of wood and bark chippings, that can be applied to bare soil to provide numerous benefits. Mulching is an important part of taking care of your garden and depending on the material used, has a range of benefits. Mulch should be applied between 5-7.5cm thick, over moist soil after removing weeds and when soil is not frozen.
Hugo and his team also use the tree spades for his Arboretum Designs and Construction, bringing a creative element to the finished project. Our Stocker 8 bladed machine will move a massive 85 (2.16m) diameter rootball; one of or the largest in UK! For larger, oversized trees, specialised hand root balling techniques are available, making trees weighing 20 tonnes or more viable for relocation, with unique project planning.
All works comply to or exceed British Standard 3998 (2010) and The European Tree Pruning Guide (2005). Careful assessment of every individual tree is formulated prior to a specification of works. Works are only specified if necessary. We are committed to advising clients on works that provide the least stress to trees, yet achieving a client brief, as much as possible, within the scientific capabilities acceptable in modern arboriculture.

After confirming the job was completed, turned out that the wrong trees had been removed. Then the tree survey was blamed. Additional fees were charged to remove the right trees. Job was quickly rectified and completed to satisfaction but it was not a smooth experience for anyone and I feel out of pocket. If there were mistakes in the tree survey, why was this not flagged at either the quote stage or when the first trees were removed? At this stage, I'm not even sure who's at fault, I just know I had to pay more to fix it and go on site several times to check.
