Caburn Cottages
Nestled within the South Downs National Park, at the foot of Mount Caburn, are a group of eight flint and brick self-contained cottages on our working farm. Our cottages are well-equipped and range from one to three bedrooms. We are close to the historic town of Lewes and within easy reach of Glyndebourne, Brighton and Eastbourne.

Trains to London are frequent from Lewes station but we also have hourly trains from Glynde station going east to Eastbourne and Hastings and west to Lewes and Brighton where other connections can be made. Our cottages provide an excellent base, whether you are visiting family or friends, exploring the local towns and villages or enjoying the stunning views on the South Downs.

If arriving from the West on the A27 (Brighton), follow the signs to Eastbourne and Hastings. Do not turn off the A27 at either the Ashcombe or Southerham Roundabouts - continue on A27 for another mile and as you drive down the hill you will see Ranscombe Lane on your left - take this road and Caburn Cottages is the second entrance on your left - approximately 150 yards from the main road.

Our second stay at Caburn Cottages. The perfect place to base ourselves for a return to Glyndebourne. They have been busy during the lockdown improving the accommodation which is much appreciated. A warm welcome from Sarah and Sally for our return along with our two dogs. We look forward to our next visit in October. Thank you!

This is the second year now that I've stayed in Charity Cottage and it's a beautiful location. The prices are unbelievably cheap for what you get- stunning scenery, right in front of Mount Caburn. There's a beautiful long road in front of the cottages, about a mile long, that has some excellent photography opportunities.
All in all, a beautiful holiday location which I shall keep returning to!

Well appointed. Everything worked. The beds were comfortable and the sofas didn't sag.

My husband and I stayed in Charity Cottage and really loved our stay. The cottage was clean and comfortable with beautiful surroundings. Our hostess, Rosemary, was incredibly friendly and accomodating during our stay. We look forward to returning again with our children and seeing more of the area in and around Glynde.
