Children have choices; they can express what activities they want to do during their time here at the nursery. We want to enable children to learn through experiences of touch, movement, listening, seeing and hearing. We encourage children to have a relationship with other children and to have an opportunity to express themselves in a range of ways.

Fledglings operates under a strict Equal Opportunities Policy and does not discriminate against any child on the grounds of sex, race, religion, colour, or creed. The Equality Act 2010 lays down a legal obligation for us to consider equally those designated disabled or disadvantaged, using as far as possible the same criteria as for all other children.
We are aged from birth to 15/16 months. In this room we are learning to explore, crawl, smile and stimulate our senses. We learn through our senses. We do painting, body painting, and finger painting, learn new sounds and noises. We like getting messy, as this is how we learn. We have a book corner, it is a cosy area and we enjoy exploring and getting to know our Key Persons here at the nursery.
Here at Fledglings we offer both Spanish and French lessons at no extra cost. Researchers have shown that there are many advantages to being bilingual, not to mention that children will learn languages when they go to school and this is a way of preparing them for the different languages that they will encounter.
Please note that fees are calculated by multiplying the weekly sessions total by the 38 weeks that your child will attend then divided by 12 equal instalments and are rounded up to the pound. Free entitlement monthly fees will be calculated as per the term time only fees schedule; published monthly fees.
In line with our mission statement, Fledglings Day Nursery and Pre-School takes great pride in ensuring that our children have healthy food to eat. All children need to refuel, and they too learn which food is good for them, in order for them to make healthy choices. All our meals are freshly prepared on the premises here at Fledglings Day Nursery and Pre-School.

Fledglings was like a second family for my child. He's bilingual and the manager and the whole staff at Fledglings were absolutely amazing about this. They encouraged us to keep speaking our language at home and they thought him English at nursery. By the time he started school I couldn't believe what a confident child he has become! Another important thing for me was the food my kid got during the day. Having a Chef who cooked healthy and fresh meals everyday was a big win to me. I would truly recomand Fledglings with all my heart to anyone.
