Services
All those who come to Yercombe Lodge will experience the high-quality, person-centred approach to care and support to which we are dedicated. This will happen within a friendly, homely environment, while respecting peoples' personal dignity, individuality and privacy. In order to achieve this goal, we will continue to develop and deliver our services so that they are tailored to the changing needs of our service users, their families and carers.
Sir Charles Prevost built the house in 1907 when he married. The wood above the house was called Yercombe so he named the house Yercombe Cottage. Water had to be pumped into the house from two deep wells, which were sunk just above the driveway to the south of the house. They have since been filled when the house was put on to mains supply.
The Trust is governed by a Board of Trustees, which sets the strategy for the charity and works to ensure it continues to meet the present and future needs of our service users. Our trustees come from a variety of professional backgrounds and from across Gloucestershire. They volunteer their time free of charge.
The Trust is managed on a day to day basis by our dedicated, friendly and approachable management team who have regular contact with our Trustees. Senior care assistants, care assistants, activities coordinator and domestic staff make up the rest of the team of 30 staff. All care staff have experience of caring for the elderly in a residential environment and have achieved or are working towards NVQ level 2 or 3 in Care.
Yercombe Lodge is a Residential Home, registered by the Care Quality Commission for eleven adults including elderly people. Nursing care is not provided. Yercombe Lodge is a small, homely, family style residence with helpful friendly staff, several of whom have worked here for many years. Our in-house chef produces wonderful home cooked food with daily seasonal menu choices.
