Services
The largest Roman city in central and northern Britain, Viriconium (the Roman name for Wroxeter) did not develop into a post Roman town, so much of the archaeology has remained untouched, making it one of the most important archaeological sites in Britain. From King Arthur, Caractacus and Hadrian to Richard the third and Shakespeare, many historic figures have been linked with our tiny village.
The Wroxeter Hotel has a superb new accommodation wing of well appointed modern bedrooms - many with stunning views of the Shropshire countryside as well as four poster luxury suites in the original Georgian house. We have 17 bedrooms available for wedding guests and can accommodate up to 40 guests overnight.

Attended a Christmas Dinner dance.
Food was disappointing especially as it was not that busy. And had been precooked . I have never had BOILED SLICED PARSNIPS on my plate before.!! Yuk.!!

We booked a wedding package here worth £7500 in Sept 2019 for a Sept 2020 wedding. The communication from the hotel was very poor from the start unless, it was regarding money!! Not once did the management show interest in our up coming big day. This is reflected in their business focused contract- its all about them and telling the bride and groom what to do!! The whole contract is in favour of the venue. THEN, TO TOP IT ALL OFF, WHEN LOCKDOWN PREVENTED OUR WEDDING GOING AHEADF IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM, THE WROXTER COMPLETELY REFUSED TO REFUND ANY OF OUR MONEY, IN FACT- THEY PUT A COURT CLAIM AGAINST

The venue was booked for my wife’s family doo. Pretty venue and function room looked good.
Actual hotel room was standard, clean, nothing special.
Most staff were pleasant and attentive.
However, the star of the show was ‘Angelo’ a seemingly uninterested, unhappy, unkempt, rude waiter. We complained that a beer I had ordered tasted funny, Angelo took it away but we never had it replaced. As we were busy mingling, we forgot to chase it up.
Heard a lot of complaints about his behaviour all evening from other guests.
When me and my wife joined for breakfast in the morning, everything had

Lovely hotel, visited here for a wedding and had a great time. The food was lovely and all the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The rooms were a decent size but they were a touch expensive for what they are.

We'd just like to say thank you so much for our wonderful wedding for on Sunday 29th August 2021.
All the staff were so accommodating, all the way through the planning process right through to the big day.
A massive thank you to our coordinator on the day, Siri, he was wonderful! So polite, helpful and such a lovely guy, an asset to your great team. He worked so hard the morning of our wedding to make the venue look amazing and made the day run so smoothly. We couldn't have asked for more.
Many thanks,
Laura & Chris
