Services
We will provide all our guests with their regular home routines and comforts as much as possible so that they settle in quickly and know that Top Dog is a happy and peaceful place. We will do up to five walks a day if they are up to it but understand that in the case of the less mobile or elderly only a few times in the garden may be required.
We have eight luxury suites, three king size and five large, each individually themed and hand painted to show a wonderful selection of scenes, including a day at the seaside, a country cottage and magical cartoon capers. Our rooms, from 90 sq ft to 160 sq ft, are the largest we have seen during our careers in the dog boarding business and each has its own private run looking out onto picturesque, open countryside.
At Top Dog, we offer the same five star service to every guest, regardless of size and the price is only 25.00 per day per dog. FEES: All fees are charged by the number of nights of accommodation and dependant on time of arrival and departure. All boarding fees are due for the full booking period even if they are collected before the due date of departure.
Directions - do not use a satnav as they usually make you turn off in the middle of Stamford Bridge and it can get quite complicated. From York take the A166 to Stamford Bridge (towards Bridlington), go into Stamford Bridge and straight out on the same road (A166). Approximately 2 miles out of Stamford Bridge, turn right towards Full Sutton (sign posted Full Sutton Industrial Estate).

Our first time using 'Top Dog' and we couldn't have been happier. Martin was great and very reassuring from the off. We were worried as this was our precious little working cocker spaniel's first time in kennels. She was clearly well cared for with plenty of exercise, which she loves. The kennels themselves are amazing with so much more room than anything we compared them to and beautifully clean.
Darcy and Katie were lovely with her and we really appreciated the daily photo and video updates. That made a massive difference to us!

This is such an amazing place! We’ve just picked up our 3 dogs from their long weekend staying at Top Dog for the first time. Two of the dogs - aged 7 and 4 - have never been to kennels before and we were really worried about leaving them but our concerns were totally unfounded. From the moment I booked them in with Martin on the telephone to the very thorough check in process with the wonderful Katy we felt totally reassured. On the photos they sent us our dogs looked relaxed and happy which made us relaxed and happy. Katy and Darcy are angels - thank you so much to you both - we really appreciate

Martin and his team (Katy, Darcy & Emma) managed to keep our very energetic & bossy Springador in check. She seemed to settle very well, and Martin shared lots of photos with us during her stay which was reassuring being the first time we had left her.
Rooms were big and clean, and there was a large fenced field for her to exercise in. Nice quiet location also.

What an amazing place. We have two rescues one of which is very nervous so finding a place they could go to while we were away that I would be happy with I knew would be hard- but Martin was so reassuring.
The people that work there formed such lovely bonds with both Adam and Jupiter and took such wonderful pictures that made my heart leap. These dogs are so special and being able to never make them feel like they are behind bars again was key.
They helped us decorate their room so it was just like our home and I think the dogs loved the amazing walks far more than they have at home!

Wouldn't leave my dog with anyone but Martin and his team, brilliant service go above and beyond for your dog, Teddy had his birthday while staying there Martin happily cooked my boy fillet steak for his birthday breakfast. Whilst away got updates every day and photos and videos of him on his walks. The girls who walked and played with him was also brilliant my Ted loved them and didn't even want to leave one of them behind when he had to come home lol. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for leaving there dog while away. Rooms are lovely little tvs all done out in different designs

At last I can go on holiday and perhaps more importantly look forward to going on holiday without even a moment of worry at leaving our family of dogs in the care of another. Martin is the ‘Furry Godfather’ to dogs and his team are incredible. The attention to detail at Top Dogs goes above and beyond. Such a fantastic, homely environment for canine guests. Nothing is too much trouble. Upon dropping off our dogs Martin was heading out to the butchers at the request of one of his guest doggy owners to buy fillet steak to cook for said doggy’s birthday meal that night!! Amazing find! From first contact everything was brilliant. Really easy check in & Katie is so reassuring & caring for the dogs asks every single question you can possibly think of to ensure she knows your dog. During the stay I got pics & videos of my dogs, they looked so happy. Katie & Darcey make sure they’re walked, played with & so happy & the pictures & videos clearly show. What an amazing feeling leaving your dogs somewhere so attentive, professional and friendly. We had regular updates from the team including WhatsApp photos and videos to see how our two were doing. We were apprehensive about finding somewhere for our boy Bono, a rescue who we’ve only had 6 months and who isn’t good with other dogs, for two weeks while we went on honeymoon. We found top dog and needn’t have worried. He was well looked after by Katie, Darcy, Emma and Martin with lots of exercise, play and affection. We will definitely be booking him in again. Thank you!

Our boys had an amazing time at Top Dog Kennels! Throughout their stay I had regular updates on how they were getting on, including some beautiful pictures taken by Katie and Darcy!
Will definitely use them next time we want to go away. The dogs are so well looked after, all home comforts including beds, usual food and toys go with them so it’s like a home from home.
