Barbara Jane's Cakery is the home of stylish, elegant and delicious cakes for any celebration. I have been teaching sugarcraft and baking & designing cakes for the past 15 years and I am passionate about good quality cakes and ensuring everyone receives the cake they dreamt of, no matter what the occasion.
After many years spent teaching sugar craft through West Notts College, you can now learn with me directly. Creating sugar flowers is my most favoured skill, but I offer lessons in all aspects of sugar craft through both group and individual sessions.

Services
My cake decorating journey began a long time ago when I started making wonderful cake creations for weddings and celebrations; as well as teaching sugarcraft at a local college. I am still baking and decorating the fabulous cake creations I love, as well as teaching, but now as Barbara Jane's Cakery.
After years of teaching at various Colleges throughout Nottinghamshire, I am delighted to now offer sugar craft classes through my own business, Barbara Jane's Cakery. If there is something specific that you would like to learn please do get in touch and I will do my best to accommodate. However, these are the usual elements of sugar craft teaching that I cover.

Barbara made a Carlisle United birthday cake for my husband's 70th birthday. She followed my brief very carefully and created a really attractive and accurate design on the victoria sponge. The cake was very moist and tasted absolutely delicious. It was a big hit with everyone. I would definitely order from her again.

I asked Barbara to make a 30th birthday cake for my partner she only had a week or so notice and I was amazed when she said she could have it ready for me on the day of his birthday. She kept me up to date with emails and asked for a deposit which was more than fine because I knew then that it was going to be made! When I arranged to collect the cake I was taken aback by the detail and the overall look of the cake, it was amazing! She had taken my ideas and pictures I had sent into account and produced something brilliant! Everyone at my partners birthday bbq had commented on how amazing it looked

Barbara made our wedding cake for my lovely wedding on the 27th April at Shottle Hall. And I must say my cake was absolutely amazing!!! Every single guest at our wedding thought it was just absolutely beautiful. It looked like a perfect cake out of a magazine!
I would definitely recommend Barbara she is very talented and went above and beyond my expectations for a wedding cake!
It tasted amazing especially as there were 3 different layers. Each layer was delicious.

I asked Barbara to make a large square cake for a family celebration. Each quarter of the cake had a separate theme and our requests were met exactly. The whole family were blown away with the presentation and texture. I would, and have, recommended Barbara's talents to all family and friends. Thanks Barbara for being so good.

Barbara made a Christening cake for my daughter. It was absolutely beautiful and tasted delicious too. Everyone commented on how fantastic it looked. We even had some of the iced decorations framed as a memento of the day. Barbara is such a delightful lady and I would definitely order cakes in the future from her.
