Whilst I tend to prefer my pet shops with full of twitching, tweeting, hissing bundles of joy, it would be harsh to criticise Discount Pet Supplies for their lack of livestock. They serve their niche very well.
The lack of fauna also means that when it comes to the supplies side of things, they actually have a bit more than your average pet emporium, and can cater for everything from dogs to reptiles.

This place is thee place for cheap pet supplies. This meaning, it's not a pet shop is actually quite attractive - there's no kiddies huddling round cages; it's always pretty quiet and you can be in and out in minutes.
In and out in minutes in a good way that is. More the 'I'll dash in to pick up [required item] on the way home opposed to the 'Oh my goodness - run for the door quick!'. The staff are really friendly and ultra helpful with a good knowledge of pet care, products and everything in-between (despite not actually having any pets in store).

This place is huge and you can get pretty much everything you could ever want for your furry friends here. Biscuits, treats or something for a more sophisticated palet.
The staff are also really helpful and will keep you right so you won't disappoint. If you've recently got a new critter then the people here are great for advice.
