H. Clewlow Butchers is a 3rd Generation family butcher trading in Nantwich for over 80 years, specialising in Local Grown Beef, Lamb and Pork. Here on our premises we produce award winning sausage, pies, cooked meats and kitchen ready meals using locally sourced high quality stock from local farms.
None of our meat has been frozen, in fact our beef is matured on our premises before being prepared by our master butchers for sale. We also pride ourselves on one of the largest selections of Prize Winning Pies and Cooked Meats. Sausages are our Speciality and are available in over 20 award winning varieties.

Services
It is essential to book this service well in advance, once the booking has been confirmed we would require a 100 non-refundable deposit. We have public liability insurance and have undertaken a risk assessment for the outside catering we undertake. We have a vast variety of products suitable for BBQ's and I am sure you are aware that many of our products are Award Winners.
Customers who receive any agreed discount and customers paying with tokens are not eligible to receive points. Redemption of points is not allowed ad hoc only within the specified periods times of which will be posted in store and on the website. Points will only be added to your card at the time of purchase no points can be added at a later time.

Service very curt and unwelcoming today.
Covid allowing it isnt easy we all know.
However staff need to treat customers with a little more courtesy in these times.
2 customers & 3 staff...
If you stand behind the counter looking at the customer .... they will approach so no point telling them off!
If you complete a transaction contact less and then place the bacon and receipt on the counter, they will take it. So no point telling them to "wait" until you have checked the machine again.
If a customers asks for 1/2 a kilo that's not 1/2 a lbs.
Staff in supermarkets wouldn't get away with this

Awful customer service and very high prices! Upon entering, I stood clearly waiting to be served but was ignored by the lady who went to an elderly couple behind me first...when I said “ excuse me I’m waiting” she replied “well what do you want?” Following this, the main I assume was the manager was very rude to a member of his staff in front of customers. I felt extremely sorry for the man who just stood and took the abuse!

The pork apple and cider sausages are yummy and the meat and potato pies are to die for. Unfortunately the staff and one in particular on the cooked meat and pie counter would benefit from some training in customer service skills, the lack of which is appalling. We were pleasantly surprised a few months ago when it seemed to improve and we did wonder if there had been some complaints. However yesterday it appeared to be back to rude and indifferent once more. We didn't expect a thank you and goodbye so we were not disappointed when none was forthcoming.

If your looking for a top class butcher, look no further than Clewlow’s In Nantwich.
After a great discussion with Adrian the Manager, it was clear that they have a passion for what they do!
It’s obvious that their meats and pies are of the highest quality and they pride themselves on delivering a locally sourced product.
This convinced me to buy some of their traditional pork sausages which I must say are amazing!
If you want high quality products and traditional service from a local butcher you know where to go.
