Located in the grounds of Dursley CofE Primary Academy, we've been welcoming children to our warm, caring and nurturing environment since 1993. Pre-school sessions are for children aged from 2 years 6 months - 5 years and run term time only, from 9am - 2pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and from 9am - 12pm on Wednesday.
Friday sessions are reserved for children who are going to school next year. Our children are valued as individuals with their own unique interests, learning styles and abilities. We support them to develop their skills and confidence through play. We have close links with Dursley CofE Primary Academy.

Located in the grounds of Dursley CofE Primary Academy, we've been welcoming children to our warm, caring and nurturing environment since 1993. Our experienced, qualified staff care for and nurture your children to extend their development and help them achieve their potential. We are a charitable parent-led group which means that the preschool belongs to, and is run by the parents/carers of the children who attend.
I first became involved with Stepping Stones when the eldest of my 3 children began attending; I joined the committee where I helped out with fundraising and gained valuable business experience. In 2004 I became Deputy Manager here and held this post for a number of years before becoming Manager. Previously, I had worked at Uley Playgroup and also as a child minder looking after children in my home.
Stepping Stones is an absolutely fantastic environment for children. My daughter loves attending and finds it a fun, friendly and positive place to be. The staff are all brilliant and go above and beyond to make sure the children feel happy and have an exciting experience, it is easy to see that they genuinely care about the children.
As a community group and charity, we rely on fundraising, goodwill, donations and support from individuals and the local community to supplement our income and resources. To raise money, we hold an annual Spring Fayre, Prize Draws and Raffles, have dress up days for the children and other fun activities.
Playgroup sessions are for children aged from 2 years 6 months - 5 years and run term time only. Friday sessions are reserved for children who are going to school next year. We encourage healthy eating and provide the children with a healthy snack, including carbohydrate, a variety of fruit or vegetables, followed by cheese.
