Established in 2010, husband and wife team Marc and Leigh Carr are Directors of Carrs Windows while Leigh's sister Kim works as the Office Administrator. Marc, a fully-qualified Joiner by trade, had a run of bad luck in 2010 when he broke his leg not once but twice! It meant a long time off work and while recovering at his parent's home in Addingham he got thinking about all the old houses and cottages in the area.
Marc noticed that replacing the doors and windows on such buildings required specific joinery knowledge and set about researching this further. He found a real need in the area for a reliable company with a good knowledge of Yorkshire and the challenges that come with the region such as the weather, protected areas and difficult access.

Services
We produce timber window frames in our own workshops in Skipton, North Yorkshire. We also provide uPVC & aluminium frames and double-glazing products fitted by our highly-skilled team and made to last. Alternatively we offer supply-only too. Out timber doors are made and pre-finished in house by our skilled craftsmen.
Our timber windows are made in our workshop on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park by our experienced craftsmen. A firm favourite with home-owners and architects, uPVC casement windows are a low maintenance and secure window choices. We use SMART Systems and ALUK. A popular choice for the domestic market with a reputation for product innovation, design and technical competence.

We make all of our timber window frames and doors right here in our workshop in Skipton and have spent years perfecting our techniques to enable us to supply modern casement windows through to traditional sliding sash windows.
Aluminium might conjure up images of cold metal and tall skyscrapers but it can be powder coated in a variety of warm, homely colours, styles and glazing options. We use advanced energy rated heat insulating double glazed units so it's a great option if you're considering changing the windows of your family home.
Our uPVC windows are an especially popular choice amongst residential residents living in less rural areas. The classic look combined with low-maintenance means they are ideal for busy households. All of our windows prevent draughts and unwanted noise. Our team are happy to come to your home, or you can visit our show area and office.

Carrs Windows were nothing but a delight. From the moment of placing the order to the fitters cleaning the house once the windows were fitted, nothing was too much trouble for Carrs. I was not an easy customer and changed my mind on several aspects between ordering and the windows going in, but Carrs took everything in their stride. Visiting the showroom was a lovely experience in itself, the email correspondence and customer services has been nothing but exceptional; and we have never had such polite and respectful contractors in the house. All four fitters fitted our beautiful, high quality windows

I must admit I did chose them pretty much at random, but after the first visit from Marc, I knew these were the people I wanted to work on my house.
The initial visit was all about looking at my house, measuring the windows, discussing what I wanted, options for achieving it, and possible alternatives. No hard sell, no pressure, no 'sign now' discounts.
The fitting was delayed by Covid Lockdown, but as soon as they were back and working, they were in touch to arrange a date for installation.
The installation itself was amazing. Two really polite, clean & tidy

We are absolutely thrilled with our new front door and window manufactured and fitted by Carr's Windows Ltd. We were away for a few days when fitting was taking place. The fitters did a wonderful job and on our return, everything was as we left it, such tidy workers and they even washed their mugs before locking up and leaving!! Thank you to Marc and your team.
