Avery Dennison is a global materials science and manufacturing company specializing in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of labeling and functional materials.
The Avery Dennison story begins in 1935, with just a few spare parts, one very bright idea and a $100 loan. Ray Stanton ("Stan") Avery invented the world's first self-adhesive label as a way to merchandise objects. In 1935, he founded Avery Adhesives in downtown Los Angeles and, in 1990, the company merged with Dennison Manufacturing to form Avery Dennison.
Whether you're looking for short-term easy-to-apply window materials, vinyl floor graphics or general signage for indoor and outdoor use, our solutions include all levels of durability and various printable options. Our wide variety of tapes provide construction professionals with durable non-visible solutions, and our architectural finishes and building graphics enhance aesthetics.
In a fast-paced and increasingly competitive marketplace, consumer attention comes at a premium. Out-of-home advertising and temporary point-of-purchase displays are proven ways to build awareness and drive sales, but they need colors that pop so that they are noticeable while also being easy to apply and remove.

This particular plant is the largest in the U.S. and second largest in the world. This facility is impressive, and highly efficient.
