Quite simply "Rei" means Universal & "Ki" means Life Energy. Reiki is a system of natural healing which is thousands of years old. It is believed that it was first used by Tibetan Buddhist monks and underwent a rediscovery by Mikao Usui in the late 1800's.
Reiki is a healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient's body and restore physical and emotional well-being.Reiki treatments are given with you fully clothed and you can either sit or lie down.

Relaxation- Massage can help give an improved sense of wellbeing. This in turn calms down the sympathetic nervous system, lowers stress, reduces blood pressure & releases those feel good endorphins to aid restful sleep. Aches & pains- Massage can bring relief from general aches & pains caused by the growing baby and the natural changes your body goes through.
Whilst I can no longer offer appointments at Fitzgraham Academy of Dance, I am still happy to offer treatments in my clinic for students. I am conveniently located a 5 minute walk away from the studio and have availability throughout the week. There is a 10% discount off treatments for any competition students.
Almost my whole family has used Sarah at Affinity Bodyworks at one time or another. A very competent therapist who has helped me, and also my daughter recover from a particularly nasty injury from gymnastics. Very highly recommended. Like many I tend to carry my stress in my neck and across the top of back between my shoulders.
Aside from the fact that they are a huge amount of fun, they are also a whole body (and mind) workout. The OCR community is a friendly, inclusive & ever growing group of people. Obstacles vary from deep mud, monkey bars, heavy carries, amongst many others (did I mention there's usually cold water?!) There's always going to be some running but the joy of having obstacles is there's never too far to run before you get a breather.

I cannot praise Sarah enough, I am a Service Veteran, I have had quite a few issues, Sarah's knowledge is brilliant.
I also have Achilles Tendonitis, she suggested that I might have have fluid sack and when I attended the RUH Orthopaedics Dept, they confirmed it after I have a X-Ray
I cannot thank her enough, Thank you Sarah......

I booked a massage session with Sarah for my neck and upper back and its the first time I experience a professional methodology. I was amazed how Sarah could find the knots and elegantly ease them. It was also really nice to have a mobility check session which pointed out a few exercises I could do on my own. I would definitely recommend Affinity Bodyworks to whoever is looking for a professional therapist like Sarah.

Sarah at Affinity is amazing - her knowledge and devotion to helping you as an individual is second to none. I've received massages, diagnosis, treatment and a personalised rehab plan. Her time and effort over the years to help me is greatly appreciated and more so recently due to Covid-19 when she has gone out of her way to help my injury symptoms ease. Highly recommend messaging her with any queries.
