For that quiet and relaxing holiday in the heart of romantic Galloway. Castle Cary has much to offer, and constantly adds to and improves its facilities year after year. We can now offer a range of seasonal timber clad lodges and winterised all season holiday homes. At the centre of our holiday park lies an old Scottish baronial-style castle dating from around 1580.
The Laird's Inn, converted from part of the old castle, is most welcoming with it's 'olde worlde' charm, created by a dcor of wooden beams, stone walls and open fires. On a sunny day you can sit, drink, eat and relax on its large terrace, enjoying magnificent panoramic views over fields, woodlands and the estuary of the river Cree.

The park itself is fine. The bathroom facilities are very good, the location is quite scenic and there is a pub on site. The outdoor pool is non existent, not that we'd be using it at this time of the year. The indoor pool looks very small, probably best suited to infants.
However, we have had a few problems. The reception never seems to be staffed, and so far we have not been able to get any tokens for the washing machine or dryer. On first arrival, we were escorted to our pitch, which is roomy and flat. It's fully serviced, although you would need a fair bit of kit and some plumbing experience

Large site with plenty of space to pitch up away from noisy groups. Large toilet/shower block, which is clean but the showers aren't great. The washing up area has no light, so tricky to wash up after tea. The pub is very nice and great value for money. There are lots of birds and bunnies all over the place which is lovely. Great location

Been going here since I was a child! Some 20 years place
As a kid i loved it , swimming pool was free to use pub was lovely parks great and the views are stunning
As recent the pool now costs which is a bit if a downer As you can't then use it as much as would like and also the pub is rammed and always booked by locals meaning the people staying on the park can't get a reservation
