Welcome to the Family Medical Group website which incorporates Wallacetown Health Centre and Douglas Medical Centre GP surgeries. We aim to provide all of our patients with a comprehensive range of healthcare services, covering one-off problems to longer term illnesses. Feel free to explore the site and find out how you and your family can benefit from our personal and professional approach to healthcare provision.
Patients should be aware that it may not always be possible for you to be seen at the site you registered with. When making an appointment or if you receive a letter inviting you to come in, we will state whether it is Wallacetown Health Centre or Douglas Medical Centre you are to attend. We have also introduced the facility to order your prescription online.

Having an ill child can be a very scary experience for parents. If you understand more about the illness it can help you to feel more in control. This booklet is for parents (and older children) and deals with common infections in children who are normally healthy. There is a good guide on the NHS website which describes various conditions affecting children.
