Services
Embers Bristol was established in 2010 with the aim to offer the complete wood burning stove installation package in Bristol. From initial enquiry to all prep work through to the wood stove installation itself and aftercare. We work to the latest HETAS & building regulations and take pride in our craft.
Bristol is in a smoke control area and as such stoves installed must be DEFRA approved. This just means that they can't slumber or slow burn, which produces the most amount of smoke. DEFRA approved stoves can use firewood, briquettes or smokless coal (if multi fuel) and all the stoves that Embers Bristol offers are either DEFRA approved as standard or can be made so using a smoke control kit.
In the video above you can see the time lapse of the building work to prepare a boarded up chimney breast. First we 'knock out' the opening and on this occassion find the brick work to be particularly moist and crumbling. We then decided to allow the chamber to dry out for a couple of days before laying the black Italian slate hearths and re building and installing a lintel.
The above video shows a photo taken every 5 mins during the installation of a Charnwood C-Five wood burning stove in Bristol. Once any prep work has been completed or if your chamber is exposed and ready to go we can install the wood burning stove.

We would consider a chamber with hearths already in place (which meet the stove manufacturers, HETAS & building regulations), a non combustible chamber and swept chimney with a pot as 'ready to go', but would still need to perform a survey to double check this.We offer a fully HETAS registered installation service which means our installation team are trained, certified and leave you with a fully compliant stove ready to use.
Even if there is no existing chimney we can still install a wood burning stove using an insulated modular stainless steel chimney system known as twin wall. This is the case for installing a wood burning stove in a conservatory, extension or new build property. I cannot praise the guys from Embers enough. Very professional, did a great job, cleared up and left the room as they found apart from my new wood burner which I love. Thanks to Paul, Lex and the guys. If you are looking for a wood burner give Embers a call.

We have now had stoves installed in both of our reception rooms by Embers. Their knowledge is first class, their work is clean and tidy and of the highest standard. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Wholly unsatisfying experience of TRYING to buy a stove from this company. After 3 very clear emails, I had still failed to elicit an answer to how much a particular stove would cost. When I did finally receive a call back (to numerous calls and messages) the owner had a rather terse and resentful tone from the outset and again maintained he didn’t want to give the information. As a customer, should I not have the right to know what someone is charging for a product? Why the clock and dagger approach? It was a complete waste of time and energy. His was not the cheapest price I have found, but

I phoned up today to check on availability of 3 stoves that are in my short list. The lovely manager went through all the pros and cons of each stove and helped me narrow down my choice to the Charnwood Aire. I was advised that lead times are longer at the moment due to Covid-19 but the reassurance I received from Embers was honest and I felt that I was in safe hands by placing my order. If I ever need another stove I will be going back to Embers without hesitation.

Alex and the team, we want to thank you for the installation of our stove. We have installed numerous fires over the years but found embers to be the market leader. The price, quality and installation were excellent. Many thanks😎.

Excellent service from Embers, from the initial chat in the shop to installation of our Charnwood C4. They turned up exactly on time for both the inspection and installation and kept me informed throughout. They finished in less than a day and I'm really pleased with the results. Would definitely recommend.
