We hired Paul to install a log burner in our single glazed kitchen in the summer of 2020 (when not in lockdown). We already had the burner but Paul was happy to install that rather than try and sell us a new one which I thought was honest and fair. I did shop around for 3 quotes, not only was Paul cost competitive but he, and his colleague, did a brilliant job on the install and we have had a really warm autumn/winter since then. I would totally recommend Paul to anyone looking for a job like this.

From the initial visit and quote, it was clear that Paul had a great depth of knowledge and enthusiasm for his work. He listened to what we wanted, gave us several great recommendations, and was also happy to talk through any questions we had.
From then on, the whole process of choosing a stove and booking an install was very smooth. The work was completed to an exceptionally high standard, with fantastic attention to detail. Paul and Dave worked quickly and cleanly, taking away all of the rubbish and just leaving us with a beautifully installed stove.

Paul has fitted 3 stoves for us over the past couple of years and each time he's been fantastic. His knowledge of stoves and systems is great and if he doesn't know the answer to something then you can be sure he will find out and research the best solutions. He is a perfectionist, which always means you get the best finish and fitting even if it takes him a little longer than first planned. The end result is always beautiful. We are always more than happy to just leave Paul and the team to get on with things, no need to stay in. His work is very reasonably priced considering the amount of time

I cannot recommend Cottrell Stoves highly enough. They were recommended by a good friend, who said they had done an excellent job installing a wood burner at her house. They gave me much needed advice before I purchased the stove, about the different types of stove and where to buy them. They did a fantastic job with the installation. Needless to say, the wood burner has been working very well and I am absolutely thrilled with it. It has made a huge different to the temperature in my house and I am now very toasty and warm thanks to Paul Cottrell and his highly skilled team.

Paul, was absolutely brilliant through out the whole process. His initial quote was incredibly detailed which gave us a lot of confidence. He not only regenerated the old stove and put in a new flue he also created the fire place and sourced the wooden beam for us. I have recommended him to numerous friends and colleagues.

We called on Paul for help and advice after moving into our new (freezing cold) home, keen to install a new wood burner but with no idea of which one to choose. Paul spec’d up the work needed and gave us several options of burners that would be suitable, also an independent view of shops where we could purchase them from. A really friendly chap who completed all the work on time, even fixing some chimney damage on our roof. Would definitely recommend Paul, who made choosing and installing our new stove, a breeze.

Paul carried out work fitting our Stovax wood burner, he was full of advice and practical solutions. He was very flexible fitting in around our building site!! Nothing was too much trouble. Cottrell Stoves were great when it came to fitting our multi-fuel burning stove. Paul worked hard to get the job done quickly, but made sure he paid close attention to everything along the way. He was friendly, reliable, and we're hoping he'll come back and do the next stove we decide to buy. He clearly loves what he does and gave us lots of good advice about stoves and vents. Paul installed a small 'Dru' woodburner stove back in March 2013. He did a thorough job, even taking into account last minute changes to the spec forced on him when an old hearth revealed itself behind a hideous sixties fireplace.
