Services
We are a small firm of friendly and dedicated chartered accountants in Plymouth providing business and accountancy services to a range of clients in the south west peninsula and further afield. Our offices are in Plymouth but we regularly meet clients in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. We are proud to use the phrase 'small' and as the sayings go 'small is beautiful' and 'good things come in small packages'.
Diane Trumfield and Guy Northcott are both Fellows of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and have over 20 years of experience of the small and medium sized sector across a diverse range of entities. Diane heads up our busy Payroll Bureau. Guy passed the Diploma in Charity Accounting a reflection of his experience in this sector.
We compile annual accounts for sole-traders, partnerships and private limited companies in compliance with their responsibilities as individuals and directors. We look at the accounts with clients to understand their business, know what makes it tick, and offer constructive advice on a range of matters as we genuinely believe to be helpful and positive, against the back drop of their plans.
We are Statutory Auditors in Plymouth and have a broad range of audit clients throughout the South West. Audits are required by statute and law for various entities or sometimes they are voluntarily opted for to give integrity to the financial statements and the processes operated by the entity. The audit process also enables us to understand the client's operations and systems and we always look to bring some positive advice from the engagement.
Talk to an accountant before you start your business. They can advise whether you should be a sole trader, partnership, limited liability partnership, or limited company as well as any legal and tax issues you need to consider. They're continually monitored by their professional to make sure they are techncially up-to-date.
