Having reptiles as pets has become increasingly popular in recent years. Reptiles are very exotic creatures, looking like miniature dinosaurs and are guaranteed to fascinate and charm. If you are on the market for an unconventional pet, reptiles will tick all your boxes. We all know that reptiles are cold blooded, but not many people know that reptiles are more than capable of recognizing people by sight, voice and smell.
Fish are very popular choice of pet in the UK, in fact they are the third most popular after dogs and cats. Their popularity can be attributed to people living in smaller spaces for whom having a cat or dog is not practical. Fish actually will make excellent pets if you do not have the time or space to cater for a higher-maintenance animal.
Although small animals can be kept in a cage, we recommend that they are let out on a daily basis for exercise and stimulation. This will allow them to bond with you and you will be mutually enriched by the experience. Small animals can chew up your wires and important documents so it is wise to have a controlled space where they can roam without causing damage.
A pond can make a wonderful addition to any garden; they can be aesthetically pleasing and become a real feature with the use of planting arrangements and lighting. It can be the next stage on from having a fish tank in a living room and will create a calm and relaxing environment in your garden. Substrates - Aquatic gravel and sand with a range of colours to choose from natural to vibrant.
Birds can make wonderful pets. They have colourful and vibrant feather coats which are beautiful to look at and they can provide as much companionship as dogs or cats. They are easy to train and love to interact with you. You can even teach them tricks. Some species are good talkers and will be repeating your favourite phrases in no time.

Ken and Paul are the nicest and most helpful people. They have cared for our two bearded dragons impeccably when we’ve been on holiday and have left them for over a week at a time, given expert advice and you can see the love they have for the animals in their care. The only place I will buy food for our beardies from, insects are always good quality and well priced. Been going weekly for the past two years and still do even though we no longer live locally.

Really nice place with lots of products and interesting animals to look at. My only concern was I noticed a leopard gecko on calci sand which can be really dangerous for geckos so would maybe suggest the workers look into using an alternative, safer substrate with no risk of impaction? Overall, lovely place though and would recommend, especially to those looking for affordable enclosures.

Elle-Mae has brought a few animals from here . Owner Ken and Manager Paul are great , always on hand for advice . Nikki is a lovely employee, aswell . Great pet shop and reasonably priced. Shocked at some of the negative comments on the reviews ... pet shop is great defo worth checking out :)
Can wait for our next visit ( we’re here weekly lol )
