When you're looking for a care home, you want to know you're making the right decision. You also want to choose somewhere that offers the right level of care, comfort and support - run by people who can trust. Welcome to the Aspen Lodge Care Home. At Aspen Lodge Care Home we do things a little differently than most other care homes.
We believe this is your home and we would like you to treat it exactly like home. There are no fixed visiting hours so friends and family can come and see you as usual. Our residents decide what to do and when to do it, just as they would at home, and when some help, support and care is needed, that's fine too.

Services
Aspen Lodge Residential Care Home was formed during 2006, out of direct observations and experiences that indicated how compassion needs to be rooted in a position of comprehensive strength to be readily enacted, and that this necessary strength can ably be created and secured via essential; disciplines, vigour and integrity of an economic entity.
Aspen Lodge Care Home is managed by a registered home manager experienced in the care of elderly people with experienced care assistants providing 24-hour professional support. The care is carried out in accordance with each individual's care plan, which is regularly monitored and updated. We can also arrange occupational and speech therapy, chiropody and physiotherapy as well as appointments with dentists and opticians.
At Aspen Lodge we have a dedicated floor for older people who are living with the experience of dementia. Our team of staff are very experienced in helping residents get the most out of life and feel totally at home in a warm, understanding, safe and caring environment. We are highly skilled in caring for older people living with the experience of dementia and helping them to feel safe, happy and part of the community at Aspen Lodge.

I visited Aspen Lodge Care Home twice last week and found the staff very friendly, helpful and caring.
They facilitated my short-notice visits with great willingness and said that they encourage visits. (The visitors must be double vaccinated and have a negative lateral flow test on the day of the visit to protect their vulnerable residents)
Although the road is busy, there is small car park at the front of the premises and traffic noise was not heard inside the building.

A dilapidated residential property, situated on a busy road with deficient access.
Whilst I was visiting it was clear to see that the poor staff were rushed off their feet and didn’t have much time to communicate or tend efficiently to the service users needs.
However, I do not hold them accountable for this, I believe they are insufficient in staff and the management is very mediocre.
I feel as though this establishment needs a complete refurbishment throughout to bring the property up-to date and new security measures should be enforced.
I am also astounded to see that the home has felt

Writing on behalf of a care assistant who is currently employed by aspen care, her words as follows “Poor management, poorly lead environment, staff are made to complete jobs that are not in their job descriptions, incorrect pay, lack of activities for service users, management scrimp on services required such as maintenance and home improvements, staff levels are low, new staff in and out of the home, services users are moved out of the home if they become difficult!!! Staff have to deal
With toilet blockages, going into loft spaces, carrying heavy boxes, deal with paper work that should only

I have visited Aspen Lodge on many occasions and have been very pleased with what I have observed during my visits there. I feel that the staff carry out their duties in a very professional manner. And I have witnessed even when they may face a stressful situation they will keep a calm and caring attitude with the issues they may be facing. I have found the care home itself to have a very homely feel to it and is also kept clean for current and prospective service users. I also feel that the management structure also recognises the importance of good quality training for their staff to support
