I wouldnt recommend going to watch Jack and the beanstalk.
I have just returned with my 4 year old child.
let me Start with yes the actor is very good and the creativity used to tell the story is also good..
however it is not entertainment for children in the slightest. the same actor playing all the parts and not even changing voice... I mean how… is a 4 year old to distinguish this... he even said to me they are not chocolate coins that gold paper.... not realistic for a child.
we was all bored and felt we was sitting through a sermon at church than a children's story.

Nice enough venue, but was miffed to find that pre-ordered drinks are left on a table, open. With the current increase in reports of drink spiking, I was rather alarmed that this was able to happen.
Also, not allowing drinks in the theatre area isn't great, especially with only one bar, with queues going right up to the door just before the show and during the interval.

Wow great guys!! our experience of a beautiful building, with Magnificent Music played by String Infusion ( all by candle light may I add) Was just perfect! thanks to the all staff who made it feel even more special. The photo doesn’t do it justice. Also I needed to ask a question prior to our visit. This was promptly answered with a quick message on their Facebook page, answered the same day, with all the info I needed.
Can’t wait to visit again

An absolutely delightful venue, beautifully spacious, very comfortable seating and the acoustics are amazing.
We just went to hear Steven Osbourne and the Northern Chamber Orchestra playing some of Beethoven's works are it was a joy for the ears and senses. We absolutely loved the performance and venue and are looking forward to returning soon.

Thank you so much for a wonderful day participating in Chets alumni carmina burana , it was memorable , one of those days you won't forget easily , everyone is lovely and welcoming to me when I go to concerts , there is always someone to help out , no questions asked , carers are hard to come by , so having one to one makes it easy to access the lovely music you still want to be able to enjoy , Bravo to all this afternoon some lovely singing and thank you Stephen ,

What a bloody awful bar! Don’t care how good the acoustics might be when the concert starts in an hour. Turned up early for JAPW. A typical Manchester spring day: got soaked on the way to Stoller Hall. Bar area cold and draughty. No hot chocolate, or proper coffee: just some push button office style drinks vending machine (with bar staff to press the buttons). No draught beer, just a miserable selection of bottles. No warmth, no charm; I have been in cosier bus stations. I imagine you tried a bit harder when RIBA visited

Lovely venue! Great acoustics and very mellow vibe. Just needs a few more chairs and tables in the bar. Plus for me, the beautiful black and wood vertical striped backdrop was slightly troublesome - my eyes/brain were disturbed by it. My friend didn’t notice but I wonder whether others with similar ‘bat vision’ might have a similar issue.
