Our physiotherapists are Members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), the professional organisation for physiotherapists. We abide by the CSP's Rules of Professional Conduct and Standards of Physiotherapy Practice for Physiotherapists. Our podiatrist is a member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.
Physiotherapy helps restore movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness or disability. Physiotherapists help people affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice. Physiotherapy is a science-based profession and takes a 'whole person' approach to health and wellbeing, which includes the patient's general lifestyle.
Hydrotherapy is exercise and mobilisations done in a warm water pool utilising the properties of water to facilitate recovery. We use the resistance of the water to help strengthen weak muscles, and the bouyancy of water to help mobilise joints, and stretch tight muscles and other soft tissues. The warmth helps allow for relaxation.
Pilates is well known in exercise studios and village halls throughout the country. It is a form of exercise that looks at improving your posture and core stability, that is, increasing the strength of your back, stomach and pelvic floor muscles.
One of our physiotherapists is trained in the APPI Pilates techniques that have been developed by physiotherapists from the traditional Pilates moves to provide a more clinical approach to using the exercises for people with musculoskeletal problems.Pilates can be provided on a one-to-one or small group basis at the Balance Health Club Clinic.

Zoe is excellent. From her expertise in her craft to her making you feel very welcome when you step through the door, Zoe makes you feel at ease whilst you are in her chair. My back always feels a million times better after I have visited, plus I feel in a generally great mood after leaving. I would recomend Zoe to anyone that needs a sports massage.

I have been regularly visiting Zoe for sports and remedial massages for several years now. She is very skillful and knowledgeable. Zoe helps me to maintain high intensity weight training and workouts which have in turn had a huge benefit on my mental and physical well-being. After a massage with Zoe, I also notice a significant improvement in my mood and reduced anxiety. Highly recommended.

I have been to Zoe every 4 weeks for months now and she is fantastic! I suffer with glute and lower back pain as well as the usual tightness from lifting weights. Zoe always makes me feel better and keeps me active . I would without doubt recommend her. She is super friendly, very professional and brilliant at her job! 😉

I have received regular sports massages off Zoe for many years, I have a very physical job and as a result get back pain. Zoe asks before every massage how my back is and which area is hurting so each massage is different and focuses on that particular area. I would defiantly recommend Zoe if you are looking for a professional and friendly service or are in regular pain as she really knows her stuff.

I saw Zoe for a couple of years prior to lockdown, every other week and have recently returned and her practice helps with my head and neck pain. She has always been absolutely fab, attentive and tailors every session. She is super friendly and approachable, I feel like I can ask her to meet my needs which is often hard for me due to anxiety. We've had great conversation as well as more quiet and relaxed sessions. Highly recommended!

After hurting my knee on the leg press and attending alternative treatment without much success, I was advised to see Zoe.
Zoe not only took time to assess my injury but provided excellent massages: treatment which really helped alleviate my knee pain.
She also provided exercises which progressed my healing in less than 3 weeks.
Zoe is a caring professional who gets results and I would recommend her without hesitation.

Have been going to Zoe a couple of months now as I find I suffer from lower back pain and tend to get a lot of knots in my upper back due to my work and training at the gym. She's very friendly and profession explained a lot of factors that contribute to the areas I struggle with and explained how I can do things to help manage them, with regular treatments I barely suffer with either issue which has been amazing. Would highly recommend and will continue to go her for treatments

I contacted Zoe when I was experiencing tension headaches. She replied promptly and was able to offer me an appointment within a few days of contacting her. Zoe always checked which areas were affecting me most and targeted the massage accordingly. Excellent sports massage within a comfortable environment. Would definitely recommend and would return in the future if needed.
