Me and my 3 travelling buddies have just spent 4 fantastic nights at Basset cottage.
This is our 2nd stay here in 12 months and would certainly come back again.
If premier inn is your style, this isn't for you. It is a very charming and homely property which is kept immaculate. The owner, Bitney, is a friendly happy-go-lucky lady and went all out to make us feel welcome.
Auchterarder has some wonderful restaurants and a couple of nice pubs and is a good gateway to rural Scotland.
100% recommended.

Lovely Owner, too soft mattresses and poor breakfast… your choice
Let’s start by saying that Auchterarder isn’t certainly (in our opinion) among the most charming towns of Scotland… so told, the B&B is a little bit featureless from outside, and kind of difficult to pick out (due to the really small B&B sign).
On the other hand, the interiors are very… personal, and authentic (not tourist tailored), with both our room (Pink Room, the twin) and shower room with decent space and well working equipment.
Unfortunately, the mattresses were really too soft, and I got out of bed with a bad

Only stayed one night sadly. Lovely welcome and fabulous accommodation. So comfortable that it was like staying at a good friend's home. Will definitely visit again.
