Services
From childhood through to late adulthood, there are certain times when we all need help addressing problems and issues that may cause us emotional distress or make us feel overwhelmed. When you are experiencing these types of difficulties, you may benefit from the assistance of an experienced, trained professional.
As a counsellor I have worked in private practise for over 12 years and I have seen thousands of clients. I currently have rooms in Kings Lynn and in London The City EC3A where I see clients. I also work as a supervisor for the One to One Project in Kings Lynn. As part of my training I worked in a GP surgery, a bereavement agency and then 5 years I helped men at the Everyman Project to change their anger, violent or abusive behaviour.
Many people come to me when they have painful problems with parents, partners, husband, wife or children. They seem to be going around in circles with nothing changing. There are those that experience difficulties with an Ex-Partner and contact time with the children. Then there is the person in a relationship with a person they feel they have grown apart or out of love.
We spend a large part of our life in the work place and at certain times there is so much that could make us unhappy. Work-related stress accounts for six million days of sick leave each year. Work-related problems can create a dread of getting up in mornings going into to work and may lead to feeling depressed, anxious and also undermine relationships.
Anger is a normal emotion but it is how we use or manage it that is important. Anger is healthy when you encounter a serious injustice. I gained great experience working at the Everyman Project which helps men to change their violent and abusive behaviour. The first step is admitting that there is some kind of anger problem happening.

Report
James is a very professional, calm and helpful counsellor. After every visit I felt relieved, much less anxious and ready to keep going. He is a very good listener and able to communicate very well how, why or what is happening. I finally feel like I have control over my life and decisions. His help is much appreciated.
