Catering - We have our own extensive catering facilities and unlike most other venues we do not have set menus you have to use - from Fish and Chips to Curries, traditional three course roast dinners to giant Paellas, and Tapas to Cream Teas, we will talk to you to ensure that all food on the day is your choice - not ours!
No matter what kind of wedding you are planning you can leave everything in our capable hands. From a full sit down dinner for 140 during the day to a basic finger buffet in the evening we can handle every detail including full catering, waiting and clearing staff with bar and all accessories. We will pay meticulous attention to detail to ensure that your day runs smoothly so you can enjoy it!
One of the problems we have found with web sites is trying to translate the thousands of different options offered into a few, concise, easy to read pages. After all, since all our events are tailored to your requirements, no two are ever the same! The headings below give some idea as to the range of choices available but bear in mind they are only a guide.
Most Wedding breakfasts have either two or three served courses, usually consisting of a starter, main and dessert. Serving options can include served buffet style (we do not suggest this as it can take some time for all your guests to get their meals), fully plated, plated main with veg served on the table (family service) or served on sharing platters on the table for a fully informal meal!.
There is always a wow factor with a Spit Roast! Many companies nowadays do most of the cooking in their own kitchens and transport the pig partly cooked, only finishing off at the end on site. We have always preferred the traditional method where our staff slowly spit roast the pig for up to 9 hours to ensure the crackling is crispy and the meat is succulent!

Had to postpone wedding due to contracting Covid with just 3 days to go. Dave was understanding & supportive. He found a solution & a new date within minutes and turned a very sad day into a brighter one very swiftly. We are so grateful for this & can't wait now for our Spring wedding in 2022...watch this space for my review after the event ...

Dave and his team were everything and more than we asked for. The venue is beautiful and it's lovely to have full access. Because there was no event the day before we got to set up early and it really took pressure off the day. Even with rain Dave adapted and made our day seamless. I wouldn't have changed a thing and we're so glad we chose Minstrel Court.

Minstrel Court was the perfect choice for venue for us - excellent value for money and so many extra touches that enabled us to create our perfect wedding day. Dave and the team were extremely helpful in answering any questions we had throughout the planning/preparation stages, and on the day itself they were friendly and professional to both us and our guests. The food was divine, great portion sizes and we had no end of compliments from our guests on how high quality it was. Not to mention that the grounds and lake are absolutely beautiful. I attended a wedding at minstrel court. Aside from the picture perfect setting and ambient surroundings, the professionalism of the team was second to none!
We had the best day celebrating the wedding of my sister and her best friend. I can’t wait to book my wedding here.

We cannot thank David and Nicky Simpson enough for all their help in both arranging and assisting with our wedding. Nothing was too much trouble and nothing was left to chance from the initial meeting to the day itself when both were in attendance to make sure it all went smoothly. We highly recommend Minstrel Court to anyone looking for a beautiful wedding venue that is superbly maintained and managed by its committed hosts.

We had THE most wonderful wedding 19.08.21. The garden is stunning, the Regency barn provided a charismatic backdrop for our wedding breakfast and the Long Gallery came alive with the band and LED dance floor. So glad we also upgraded to garden games and bouncy castle for the kids, finished by the firework display. The biggest compliment was that so many guests said the wedding venue felt like our own! That really is the beauty of this place. The food was also very good. Highly recommend, especially if you are looking to host a family-friendly wedding! Finally just to praise the venue for a hassle

We had our wedding at Minstrel Court on 3rd July 2021 after postponing it from July 2020 due to Coronavirus.
Dave postponed our wedding with zero fuss or stress. We only found out we could have the wedding size we wanted 3 weeks before the wedding date and Dave was so accommodating and patient and allowed us the time we needed to confirm numbers, final details and pay the final balance.
We booked the all inclusive package but Dave is so flexible with what this can include and pretty much allows you to have whatever you want and will always give you options and ideas for what might work well or

We got married at Minstrel Court in August 2019 - a stunningly beautiful venue with a relaxed country side vibe. Planning the wedding was very easy, Dave responds very promptly and will help with all ideas. We got ready on site and had the ceremony by the lake and the wedding breakfast in the barn - which is gorgeous! The food was delicious and completely customised. The grounds are so lovely and all our guests enjoyed being outside by the lake, relaxing on the grass on picnic blankets or playing some garden games, before DJ Bob started the dancing in the evening! It was the perfect day.
