We have just moved and purchased a property through Athertons in Whalley. Through out the process they have contacted us asking for updates on our sales as we were selling 2 properties. They were very proactive in particular Helen which is more than I can say for the estate agents selling our own property. On the day of completion one of our sales the money hadn't been released from our buyers building society. We were all packed up waiting at our new home for the keys from 11am in the morning. However as completion hadn't taken place we couldn't get the keys. This delay went on all day. At 4.30pm

We recently purchased a property through Atherton's.
Throughout the whole process John, Tom and Helen were always on hand to give us regular updates reference the purchase and we were never hanging around waiting for responses to emails or enquiries. The whole team communicated with us effectively from start to finish and they handled the purchase brilliantly, especially with the additional pressure of the SDLT holiday. We would 100% recommend Atherton's to anybody wanting to sell or purchase a property.

We bought a property through Athertons and what a great service we received throughout the process! The staff were all brilliant and attentive. Helen, Tom, Jim, Simon and all! The worst estate agents I have ever come across! Puts prices on way below the actual wanted price by the vendor to peak interest. Don’t even trust that they have been putting our offers forward! Avoid at all costs, we will never ever use this company again! They have made a situation 10x more stressful than any other estate agents we’ve come across!

Earlier this year I bought a property through Athertons - a great company to deal with. No hanging around for days to receive answers to calls/emails - response times are impressive. I mainly dealt with Simon Kerins - he was mustard! Staff are friendly, polite, attentive and efficient. What more could you ask for? I would definitely recommend Athertons.

We have recently purchased a property in Pleasington where Athertons were the selling acting on behalf of the vendors rather than ourselves. However due to a very protracted period from agreeing the purchase to completion as a result of a chain of some seven properties we finally completed earlier this month. We have to say that in spite of Simon Kerrins and his team not being instructed by us they have been extremely helpful pleasant and professional throughout the process and have managed to keep their own clients calm and patient throughout.

We employed Atherton’s to market and sell a cottage which had belonged to a much-loved, deceased relative. The valuation and marketing of the property were professionally managed in a descriptive style through excellent photography and prose. In the event, the sale proved difficult because of problems created by the prospective buyer. In spite of the fact that the buyer had not made use of Atherton’s excellent service, the staff gave up their valuable time in sorting out a range of issues, and ultimately the sale was concluded. Absolutely 5 star service. They gave professional advice and guidance every step of the way as well as keeping us up to date with the progression of the sale. We found we could ring Athertons at any time and any member of staff within the office was able to help which is rare!! We found that all staff had been extremely helpful and always polite. If you need a house sale done correctly then Athertons Estate Agents are the best in business.
