Services
The easiest way to make an appointment for your pet, is to contact us via PetsApp. This free app for your phone or tablet makes it easy to contact us at a time that suits you. You can download the app or find out more here. Alternatively, contact your local practice by phone. If you are calling for an appointment, please call between 2pm and 4pm, to leave the phone lines open for emergencies and allow us to prioritise appropriately.
They may be small, but rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and other furries are still much loved members of your family and they deserve long, happy and health lives. Many of our vets have undergone extra training on all aspects of rabbit medicine and surgery, so we can offer a very high degree of care to your pets.
At Thrums Vets we take an active interest in all things related to sheep health and production. We provide a 24 hour, 365 day service. Emergency work including lambings and caesarean sections, for which we have purpose built facilities in the practice. Treatment of individual sick animals. Surgical procedures such as vasectomies.
Keep your horses, ponies and donkeys in the fine condition with Thrums Equine Vets. From competition horses to the trusty family hack, we'll help you care for your horse throughout its life with preventative health care to keep them happy and healthy for longer. Thrums equine vets bring caring, professional and prompt service to horse-owners across Angus and Perthshire.
We all have lives and families outwith work, and it's important to maintain a good work/life balance, particularly when you're in such a beautiful location. We want Thrums Vets to continue to be at the forefront of veterinary care in Scotland, so we encourage all our staff to continue their professional development, ensuring they receive the training and support they need to fulfil their personal career goals.

Very good vets. Caring for our pets. Our girl had a c section and they knew how anxious we were. They tried everything to avoid the c section but it needed to be done. They took such good care of our girl and us. Can't thank them enough.

Our dog had to be seen urgently because he’s not peed and pooped for days since he started feeling unwell couple days ago. We phoned up Thrums Vet and the receptionist was super kind to offer us last minute appointment 2 hours later. The examination process was efficient and has then relieved our dog’s physical pains. We cannot thank enough for the whole team at Thrums Vet, you’ve helped our dog and us so much! Thank you!
P.S. Our dog is not registered with the vet previously as we are on a road trip to Scotland, but the receptionist was still promptly helping us book the appointment to
