Booked a lovely Celebration tea for a friend's birthday and we were really pleased with the entire experience. From the phone booking to settling the bill at the end, it has been a pleasure to deal with friendly, professional members of staff at Lily's Tearoom. All the food was beautifully presented and made of good quality ingrediants with a birthday candle for extra good measure. Looking forward to our next visit.

A lovely little place for a bite to eat, situated in a picturesque alley close to the cathedral. Nicely set out - face the window to have a view of the quaint Beatrix Potter shop. I had the dish of the day, local sausages and 'crushed' potatoes. The sausages were delicious, but I would have liked peas. Worth seeking out.

Went for lunch on Sunday as I had family visiting. Looking online the menu had some variety and thought there was something to suit all of us. Once we got there the waitress said they had a limited menu today which was roast pork, brunch and just 2 portions of fish and chips left. This was at 1pm and it doesn’t shut until 4pm. I saw nothing on their website about a limited menu. We decided to leave after not being given any menus to see what actually came with the limited options they had available. Very disappointed in our visit and dubious about returning.

First time visit to Lily's and it was absolutely fantastic. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Requested to sit by the door and that was not an issue at all.
Food was lovely and freshly prepared, staff were expcetionally helpful and friendly in the manner the order was taken.
Lovely and a quiet atmosphere, just what was needed after a lovely visit to the Cathedral.
Thank you dear staff.
See you soon

Just had a delicious lunch here. Sandwiches with chips resting outside opposite the Beatrix Potter house. We had a delicious lemon meringue pie which we shared. Gorgeous little spot. Staff are wonderful too.
