The Bell Inn
A warm welcome awaits at this traditional country inn located in the village of Shurdington, on the outskirts of the classical regency town of Cheltenham Spa in Gloucestershire. With an open log fire in winter and a huge beer garden for the summer, The Bell offers a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and some of the best English food available in the area.

A choice of beef, chicken, slow-cooked pulled pork or vegan. Served in a toasted bun with lettuce, tomato, gherkins, homemade onion rings, & hand-cut chips. Choice of cheddar, brie, mozzarella or stilton to finish. Here's a lovely Eating Out review by the Gloucestershire Echo, following a recent visit by their mystery diner.
Services
We are lucky to have a large traditional bar, a lovely dining room with many character features (which we've also recently extended), and also a large and welcoming beer garden, so there is now even more space to enjoy a relaxing meal or a drink at The Bell! A choice of beef, chicken, pork or vegan.

Had dinner here and food was excellent as was the warm welcome from staff. The landlady who is also the chef was great. Both starters and main courses were excellent and did manage 1 dessert and again excellent. Would certainly recommend and if ever in area again will certainly return.

I was designated to pick a pub/ restaurant for Sunday lunch and The Bell Inn did not disappoint. The welcome was warm and friendly. The food delicious! And the service excellent!
Vegetarian option was a big hit, my sister had the Turkey dinner and commented, "this is the best Sunday dinner I've ever had"

Haven't been here for many years, just decided as not too far away from where I and my sister in law live. Had a nice starter and main course, my main was a little dry, think it was cooked a but too far ahead and left under hot lamps as it was brought out immediately our starters had been taken away. Apart from that, very nice, would go there again.

Stopped here for dinner one evening on the way back to Quenington where we were staying, and were super impressed - it's a lovely friendly place for a drink and a bite to eat.
2 of our party are vegetarians and ordered the vegan Bell Burger, which was amazing - a proper meat style burger with everything you'd want on top (including onion rings) - the veggies didn't feel like they were missing out for once!
Food was great, service was good, drinks were cold, what more would you want. :)

Family friendly pub, beer garden next to a big climbing frame but separated enough to still be quiet. Dogs welcome. Good undercover outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Hearty traditional pub grub and a very good steak.

Went here for lunch and loved it. I ordered the vegan burger and it was amazing. It came with chips, burger and a salad. All the food here was homemade and tasted great.
However, it did take a long time for the food to come but it was definitely worth the wait.
Overall, I had a great time here and would recommend to anyone.

Lovely friendly atmosphere. I had a gluten-free steak meal and where the chef made gluten free onion rings so I had a complete meal, usually restaurants just remove them from the plate! The steak was cooked just as I asked and melted in my mouth. Even though not all marked on the menu a lot of the dishes were gluten free. Staff were attentive and friendly. Very relaxed environment. Would recommend.

Great food in a bit of a dated environment. It has everything a good pub needs, like an outside area, plenty of parking, WiFi, dog friendly. The place looks and feels worn out, so the environment isn't that nice. The menus look like someone typed them out in Microsoft Word in 10 minutes.
The food is really good though, and the staff are great. The steak with pepper sauce was fantastic and there was loads on the plate. The desserts are really nicely presented. Not the cheapest place around but it's a fair price for food this good.
